Starscream is definitely the most recognizable of the Decepticon jet fighters, both in the original cartoon and throughout the entire Transformers series. Now, two other brightly colored members of his team are getting the model kit treatment from a company heavily involved with the Transformers brand.
Yolopark’s AMK Series Transformers G1 Thundercracker & Skywarp set includes building kits for both characters, based on their original Generation 1 appearances. These kits are designed to be easy to build while still capturing the details of the characters’ robot forms. Official photos are now available, giving fans a detailed preview of these figures, which resemble Starscream.
Thundercracker and Skywarp Join the Transformers Yolopark AMK Series
The company recently unveiled new model kits of Thundercracker and Skywarp, part of their AMK Series called G1 Yolopark. These kits are based on the classic animated designs, but they’re simpler than some other Yolopark collectibles, meaning they don’t include features like lights or sounds.
These figures don’t change into vehicles, but they make up for it with a lot of movable joints, allowing for dynamic poses. They fit right in with other official Transformers toys. Although they don’t come with a ton of weapons, each figure includes three different faceplates and their signature null ray cannons, which attach to their arms.
Like the original Generation 1 toys, these new figures of Skywarp and Thundercracker are repaints of the Starscream mold. Skywarp features a black, gray, and purple color scheme, while Thundercracker is light blue and gray. Standing approximately 7.5 inches tall, they’re similar in size to other figures, though not perfectly scaled. Despite this, they’re a fantastic addition to any Seeker collection and faithfully recreate the characters’ classic looks.
These model kits are made from durable plastics – ABS, PA66, and POM – but are designed to be simple to assemble, making them perfect for beginners. Pre-orders for Skywarp and Thundercracker begin on April 23rd, and they’ll soon be available alongside the AMK Series Starscream model for fans to collect.
