The Duke of Gloucester is attending a tour of The Cosmic House as patron of The Kensington Society
As a long-time royal enthusiast with a soft spot for architecture and history, I find the Duke of Gloucester’s upcoming engagement on September 5 to be quite intriguing! Being related to the late Queen Elizabeth II and serving as a senior member of the royal family, his role in public engagements is always noteworthy.
As a longtime active member of the royal family and cousin to the late Queen Elizabeth II, the Duke of Gloucester continues his service. With King Charles III’s ascension to the throne, he remains an integral senior figure. This implies that he actively participates in official duties on behalf of the king. In fact, on September 5, the duke is carrying out a scheduled engagement, fulfilling his role as patron of The Kensington Society
If you’re not acquainted with The Kensington Society, it is a community group based in Kensington, London. As their patron, it appears that the Duke of Gloucester plans to visit a tour of the Cosmic House located at 19 Lansdowne Walk
Previously this year, The Kensington Society organized an exclusive event for their members, offering them a chance to personally explore the Cosmic House. Given its significance as a London landmark due to its post-modern architecture, designed by Charles Jencks and other architects who worked on the interior, it’s no surprise that there’s high curiosity about visiting this unique property

As an architecture enthusiast like the Duke of Gloucester, who’s passion is evident through his involvement with various patronages, it comes as no surprise that his scheduled event on September 5 aligns perfectly with my interests
Despite limited information available about the Duke of Gloucester’s upcoming space tour, we eagerly anticipate any photos captured during this event, as it might offer us a peek into the unique aspects of Cosmic House – a residence renowned for its distinctive interior features. Since 2021, the Cosmic House has welcomed visitors, but due to its residential location, access is restricted, with visiting times and the number of guests allowed on tour remaining limited
If you’re interested in discovering more about the Cosmic House and Charles Jencks, I recommend visiting the Jencks Foundation’s website for detailed information. Additionally, we’re eager to find out more about His Royal Highness, The Duke of Gloucester’s visit to the house
