BRABUS, the renowned German luxury automotive company, has revealed its new, incredibly limited-edition supercar called the “BODO.” This 2+2 Gran Turismo coupe was unveiled at the exclusive FuoriConcorso event on Lake Como, Italy, and is a tribute to the company’s late founder, Bodo Buschmann.
The BODO is built on the Aston Martin Vanquish platform and uses a lot of strong, lightweight carbon fiber created with a special, high-tech process. This allows for a striking design that combines speed and the brand’s instantly recognizable style. Despite being over 16 feet long, the car is remarkably light at just 1,774kg thanks to its composite body. The front features a bold design with unique LED headlights, a custom grille, and large air intakes to maximize engine performance. At the rear, active aerodynamic elements, including a spoiler that automatically adjusts for speed or braking, enhance both performance and safety at speeds above 87mph.
At the core of this exceptional vehicle is a powerful, hand-assembled 5.2L V12 engine with two turbochargers, producing an impressive 1,000 horsepower at 6,400 rpm and a consistent 885 lb-ft of torque. This power is sent directly to the rear wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission with an electronic locking differential. As a result, the vehicle accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3 seconds, reaches 300 km/h in 23.9 seconds, and continues accelerating until it hits a top speed of 360 km/h (approximately 224 mph), which is electronically limited.
The BODO boasts custom 21-inch BRABUS forged wheels and specially developed Continental SportContact 7 high-performance tires. It’s equipped with large six-piston front and four-piston rear brakes featuring carbon-ceramic discs for powerful, consistent stopping. The car’s adjustable suspension, built with KW aluminum coilover technology, offers five driving modes – Wet, GT, Sport, Sport+, and Individual – letting the driver fine-tune handling, ride height, and engine performance with the touch of a button.
The luxurious interior continues the car’s refined style. The custom-built cockpit was meticulously crafted by hand in BRABUS’s own upholstery shop. It features a dark and sophisticated color scheme of “Piano Black” and “Shadow Gray,” with high-quality leather and distinctive stitching in BRABUS’s signature “Shell” pattern. Carbon fiber accents the dashboard, console, and steering wheel. Subtle details, like the founder’s embroidered signature on the door panels and the car’s profile stitched into the seats, add a personal touch.
Only 77 BRABUS “BODO” vehicles will ever be made, and each one is custom-built to the buyer’s exact requirements. The price starts at €1,000,000 (approximately $1,162,600 USD).
