Fans of Sydney Sweeney didn’t react well when she publicly confirmed her relationship with Scooter Braun, and they especially disliked his boastful response.

The 28-year-old singer and the 44-year-old music executive have become an official couple after dating for ten months. She shared a cozy photo of them together on her Instagram account.

Taylor Swift’s longtime rival publicly boasted about his younger girlfriend, adding a rude two-word comment – ‘Lucky bastard’ – when he shared her story on Wednesday.

One fan called the two an ‘icky couple’ in a Reddit comment following the social media hard launch.  

‘They make so much sense in the worst way,’ another added.

Someone questioned why a successful, 28-year-old woman would date a divorced man in his 40s.

‘I swear Sydney has some type of humiliation kink lmfao,’ another joked.

‘Why does she date such older dudes,’ someone else questioned.

A fan playfully suggested that Josh Sweeney is now focusing on those who dislike Taylor Swift, since he’s dating someone she famously doesn’t get along with.

But some people came to their defense, with one person commenting sarcastically, ‘Let’s hope she doesn’t dare post a nice picture with her boyfriend.’
