The BBC is bringing back Big Break, the popular snooker gameshow from the 1990s. It will premiere at the same time as the network’s snooker coverage, and viewers can watch it on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer.
I’m so excited! Paddy McGuinness, the hilarious host of Take Me Out, is going to be there, and even better, Stephen Hendry – a total snooker legend – will be joining him! It’s going to be a great event with those two.
Every week, professional snooker players from across the globe will team up with the contestants to help them compete for a cash prize.

The BBC announced that the updated version of Big Break will feature impressive new trick shots from Stephen, alongside quick-paced snooker matches and a fun, lighthearted vibe.
Viewers at home will now have a more immersive experience, with comprehensive coverage bringing them closer to the action and the players. This will connect with the already passionate online and BBC snooker community.

Man, I’m so hyped to be back with Big Break! It was always such a fun show – a really cool blend of amazing trick shots and just good entertainment. I can’t wait to get back to the table and introduce it to a new generation. Hopefully, we can even inspire some kids to pick up a cue and start playing snooker!

The show is a collaboration between Naked and Vibrant Television. Tom O’Brien from Naked said, “Big Break has been off the air for too long, and we’ve worked really hard to bring it back. We hope everyone enjoys the new version and once again loves the show’s famous theme song.”
I’m so excited – I heard they’re starting to make the new series really soon! And even better, the BBC is letting anyone apply to be on it – you can find the application link right here!
