Sienna Miller, 44, says an older woman with a younger man ‘is still fetishised’ amid her relationship with Oli Green, 29, as she gives rare details about her third pregnancy

Sienna Miller recently commented that relationships where an older woman dates a younger man are still often seen as unusual or exciting in a way that focuses on the age difference, even as she herself is dating Oli Green.

The 44-year-old actress and her 29-year-old partner, who have a daughter born in 2023, are expecting their second child. There’s a 15-year age difference between them.

Sienna Miller recently told Grazia magazine about a challenging early audition. When she was just 21 years old, she auditioned for a role as the romantic partner of a 45-year-old actor.

She explained that while attitudes are changing, society still often views relationships with significant age gaps – like an older woman with a younger man – as something unusual or exotic rather than simply accepting them. She hopes to see a future where these relationships are seen as normal, without that imbalance in perception.

Sienna and Oli started dating in 2021. That same year, Oli appeared in the movie A Good Person with Florence Pugh and Morgan Freeman, and also had a role in an episode of The Crown alongside Imelda Staunton and Dominic West. He is an actor himself.

She mentioned she’s currently really enjoying foods with a lot of vinegar, and has also been eating a lot of peanut butter and jelly toast.

Sienna lamented having to go through another round of postpartum hair loss.  

She said, playing with a strand of hair, that it was finally growing back after being lost, and now it would all fall out again.

Sienna is excited to take some time off work this year and focus on her kids, including her 13-year-old daughter, Marlowe, who she shares with her former partner, Tom Sturridge.

I remember Sienna talking about meeting Oli, and she said she really didn’t think anything would come of it at first. But then, surprisingly quickly, she completely fell for him.

I didn’t intentionally seek out a younger boyfriend. My initial reaction was more frustration – I was annoyed that he was so young.

Men from his generation seem to treat women with more respect. While he’s a particularly thoughtful and balanced person, I think it’s also a characteristic of that age group.

Compared to previous generations, young people today have had more equal opportunities. I notice this in both the women and men I know.

Sienna and Tom Sturridge, now 40, were together for four years before separating in 2015. Despite no longer being a couple, they remain close friends and successfully co-parent their daughter, Marlowe, with Sienna describing Tom as her ‘best friend’.

Sienna Miller first gained recognition around 20 years ago with roles in films like Layer Cake and Alfie. After a quieter period, 2024 marked a significant comeback for her, bringing her back into the public eye.

Just five months after having a baby, she turned heads at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival while promoting her new film, Kevin Costner’s western, Horizon: An American Saga.

Despite the film receiving generally mixed reviews, Sienna’s performance stood out as a highlight, with critics particularly impressed by her captivating depiction of Frances Kittredge.

People particularly praised her perfect American accent in the part, and Time magazine declared Sienna the highlight of the entire project.
