Sky has announced that Saturday Night Live UK will return for a second season, even before the first season has finished airing. This is great news for fans of the popular American comedy show, which this UK version is based on.

The show originally started with a six-episode order, which was later expanded to eight. However, the second series will be even more substantial in length.
According to Variety, the upcoming season will have twelve episodes – enough content to provide three months of Saturday Night Live entertainment.
The show has received good ratings so far, but it’s gaining even more traction online. According to an analysis by Deadline, clips of the show have been viewed over 86 million times across all official social media and video platforms.
