Rolls-Royce is introducing its Coachbuild Collection program, one that will give clients infinite opportunities for a custom Rolls-Royce, even more so than before. Its first launch has been revealed as “Project Nightingale.”
As a huge Rolls-Royce fan, I was blown away by Project Nightingale! It’s built on the same amazing aluminum base as the Spectre, but this one is a stunning two-seater roadster. Seriously, the design is all about that classic 1940s art deco look – think streamlined and elegant. What really gets me is how smooth it is – they ditched the usual air intakes for a super clean shape, and the front features this incredible, massive white grille made of stainless steel – it’s over a meter wide! It’s got these bold carbon fiber details and massive 24-inch wheels, giving it a really powerful look, but surprisingly, it’s the same size as a Phantom, so it still has that iconic Rolls-Royce presence. It’s just… breathtaking.
The “Starlight Breeze” suite is the highlight of the interior, featuring over 10,500 lights that visually represent the sound waves of a nightingale’s song – a nod to its name. The brand says this creates a yacht-like atmosphere within the suite, which has a design inspired by an airplane’s body. The “Piano Boot” area offers a similarly refined experience, and overall, the design emphasizes a sense of sleek, impressive beauty.
Project Nightingale is a limited-edition vehicle, available only to Rolls-Royce clients who appreciate the brand’s design. Just 100 units will be produced. Testing will begin this summer, and the first customers will receive their vehicles in 2028.
