Robinhood Leads Tokenized Stocks by Holders but Not by Money

Just one month after introducing its blockchain technology, Robinhood has become the most popular platform for holding tokenized stocks – meaning it has more users than any other.

Despite traditional stocks being available, meme coins are still the most popular assets on the Robinhood blockchain. PONS is now the biggest token on the network based on its total value, surpassing CASHCAT.

Robinhood Wins the Holders and Trails on Value

The number of people holding tokenized stocks surpassed 752,000 by late July, a 92% increase in just one month, as reported by DWF Labs. This growth was primarily fueled by Robinhood.

Within a month of its launch, Robinhood Chain quickly became the leading blockchain based on the number of users holding its stock tokens. This success wasn’t immediate, however. It’s the result of over ten years of work by Robinhood building a user-friendly platform, which they are now expanding to include blockchain technology.

Since its launch on July 1st, the platform has attracted 328,000 users, representing 44% of the market. However, despite this large user base, the total value of its tokenized stock is currently $44 million.

In contrast, Ondo manages $857 million and xStocks handles $487 million. The difference is even more noticeable when looking at the average amount held per user: Robinhood users have an average of $134, while Securitize users average $4.9 million with only 50 holders. This highlights the different types of investors each platform caters to.

DWF Labs observed that different platforms attract different types of investors. Securitize and Figure primarily work with institutions, while Robinhood focuses on individual (retail) investors. xStocks and Ondo serve both groups thanks to their collaborations and partnerships.

Meme Coins Still Dominate Robinhood Chain Activity

In my research, I’m seeing a clear trend: tokenized stocks are attracting investors focused on long-term holdings, while meme coins are currently driving the most significant price gains. Looking at data from Dune Analytics, PONS is currently leading the pack with a market capitalization of $44.68 million and a 24-hour trading volume of $11.4 million.

Cashcat reached $39.90 million in value. It previously peaked at over $200 million on July 11th, making it the largest asset on the blockchain at that time.

Looking at the market, TENDIES currently ranks third with a value of $11.17 million. What’s really striking is that the top 10 tokens collectively hold around $123 million – that’s almost three times the total value of all tokenized stocks right now. It highlights a significant concentration of value within those leading tokens.
