Adult Swim’s new series, President Curtis, is set to premiere very soon, and it’s already been renewed for another season.
The team behind the new series President Curtis held a panel at San Diego Comic-Con to talk about the show. They announced that Adult Swim has already ordered a second season! Keith David, who voices the main character (a role he also played in the original series), was there along with his co-stars Stephanie Beatriz and Jim Rash, as well as the show’s creators Dan Harmon and James Siciliano.

Michael Ouweleen, president of Adult Swim, announced that ‘President Curtis’ has been renewed for another season. He praised Keith David’s charming performance and the show’s creative team, stating that the series offers exactly what viewers want – even if they haven’t realized it yet!
The show President Curtis centers around the president and his unusual team as they deal with everything from negotiating with other dimensions to investigating the paranormal and unexplained. It’s been described as similar to other science fiction shows, but with the same witty humor as Rick and Morty.
President Curtis Has a 100% Rotten Tomatoes Score
Positive early reviews likely helped Adult Swim decide to renew President Curtis for another season. It received a perfect score, similar to the current ninth season of Rick and Morty. While it’s still unknown if many people are watching, Adult Swim seems very optimistic about the show’s future.
President Curtis first appeared in the animated series Rick and Morty back in 2015, in the episode “Get Schwifty.” He was originally known only as “The President,” but later became President Curtis in Season 5. He and Rick Sanchez often have a complicated relationship, sometimes finding themselves working together. Given his popularity with fans, it wasn’t shocking when it was announced at San Diego Comic-Con last year that President Curtis would be getting his own show.
