Abbie Chatfield recently apologized publicly to Harrison Boon, a star from the show Married At First Sight. This followed a defamation lawsuit he filed against her last year.
Now, the remarks that sparked the legal battle have resurfaced.
Last October, a star from Married at First Sight, age 35, started a GoFundMe campaign to help pay his legal fees. He alleges that Abbie has been spreading false and damaging information about him, which he says has hurt his business and reputation.
A screenshot from a GoFundMe page shows part of a post Abbie wrote online, where she stated: ‘[Redacted] supports fascism! These men also harbor white supremacist beliefs. Don’t be fooled if they claim to be ‘men’s rights activists’ – they’re extremists on the far-right who support Nazi ideology.’
Abbie shared a screenshot of a message she claims Harrison sent, and added a comment saying she thought she’d blocked him but hadn’t noticed because she doesn’t consider him important. She described his message as ‘HORRIFIC’.
She urged me to check my followers and immediately have anyone who knows him unfollow and block him.
Daily Mail does not suggest any of these allegations are true and accepts that they are false.
Harrison stated that the comments were untrue, harmed his good name, and negatively impacted his career and ability to earn a living.
I’ve been following Harrison’s case closely, and I can confirm that every single penny donated through his GoFundMe went straight to the costs of his legal defense. That includes paying his lawyer, covering all the court fees, and funding things like mediation and bringing in expert witnesses. It’s good to know the money was used exactly as intended – to help him fight this.
Okay, so I’ve been following this story, and it seems Abbie, who’s 30, recently posted an apology on social media. She’s addressing her behavior towards Harrison, and wanted to publicly take responsibility for her actions. It’s good to see people owning up to things, honestly!
Abbie started her statement by saying that on April 26, 2025, she posted false and damaging claims about Harrison Boon on her Instagram account.
She stated she was completely taking back her previous comments and apologized for any pain they caused the Boon family.
I fully retract those statements and sincerely apologize for the pain and distress they caused to him and his family. They were false, and I regret publishing them.
After Abbie posted her apology, Dean Wells from Married At First Sight shared his thoughts on Instagram, suggesting Abbie had attempted to hide it by posting it alongside many other updates on her Instagram Stories.
I saw that Abbie Chatfield actually apologized to Harrison Boon! It was on her Instagram Story, though – you really had to dig for it, somewhere around the 50th Story she posted.
This is a tactic influencers employ when they need to share something without a wide audience seeing it.
Dean, despite having disagreements with Abbie in the past, congratulated Harrison on what seemed like his win.
In the comments section, Harrison simply responded: ‘Thanks everyone I’m happy with the outcome.’
