Mel C shows off her Sporty Spice physique as she flashes her toned midriff in a bra top while on stage

Mel C, known as Sporty Spice, displayed her fit physique while performing at a concert at Union Chapel in London on Thursday.

The 52-year-old Spice Girl showed off her fit stomach in a bright, cropped bra top with interesting cut-out sections.

She kept her usual style, pairing the outfit with wide-leg Adidas tracksuit bottoms and Nike sneakers.

Mel performed her popular songs with a lot of energy as she prepares for the release of her new album, ‘Sweat,’ on Friday, May 1st.

Her ninth studio album is said to honour the ‘heady and formative days’ of the 1990s.

Mel recently revealed the keys to her impressively toned and muscular body, explaining that staying fit is central to her identity.

Melanie Chisholm, known as Sporty Spice, has stayed in incredible shape for years, remaining fit and toned well into her fifties.

Mel recently surprised and impressed her fans with a photo for the cover of her new album, Sweat. She looked incredibly fit and strong, more like a warrior than a typical pop singer, while wearing a revealing red and navy outfit.

In a recent interview with The Sunday Times, the singer shared her fitness routine – a dedicated strength training program – and explained how it’s helped her feel confident and proud of her body.

She shared her secrets to getting such a fit and toned body: she lifts weights three times a week and does cardio by taking spin classes or riding her Peloton bike.

Mel mentioned she also aims to run once a week, but needs to be mindful of how far she goes because her joints aren’t what they used to be.

This popular songwriter always makes time for fitness, even with her hectic travel schedule. She says she packs resistance bands and a jump rope when she tours, so she can continue working out no matter where she is.

She also praised working out before performances, calling it a regular part of her pre-show routine. This usually involves a quick stretch and some light weightlifting at the gym.

Everyone was absolutely blown away by the artwork and video for Mel’s ‘Sweat,’ and she immediately wanted to let us know just how much work went into it. She told us she’d actually prepared way more than she usually does for a shoot – it was seriously intense!

She explained she’d spent two weeks carefully tracking her diet and working out twice a day – once with cardio and once with strength training. However, she emphasized that this intense schedule wasn’t sustainable long-term, and admitted, ‘I don’t always look like that.’

She’s always been passionate about fitness, and she recently shared that it was a constant throughout her life, even back in her Spice Girls days. She mentioned that her former bandmate, Geri Horner, used to be her workout buddy during that time.

Mel revealed that she was the most dedicated to fitness among the Spice Girls, explaining that some of the other members only started enjoying exercise later in their careers.

She explained that when she and Geri were younger, some people didn’t bother going to the gym. She also mentioned that some of the Spice Girls didn’t enjoy exercise at the time, but have since started to appreciate it as they’ve gotten older.

Mel admitted there was a lot of pressure on the girls to be very thin, not muscular. She explained that they were all worried about gaining too much muscle, as the preferred look at the time was extremely slim.

The DJ has openly discussed her difficulties with body image during her time in the band, explaining that constant public attention and being unfairly labeled as ‘the unattractive one’ were deeply hurtful.

In her 2022 autobiography, she shared that she started limiting her food intake and struggled with eating and exercise, using them as ways to feel in control.

By the year 2000, she was completely overwhelmed, having previously admitted she’d developed a pattern of binge eating but didn’t realize it was a disorder.

Looking back, I realized I really needed to reach out for help. Getting a diagnosis of clinical depression and disordered eating was actually a turning point for me – it wasn’t easy, but it was the first real step towards getting better and starting my recovery journey.

Now in her fifties, the actress says she’s more confident with her body than ever before. She feels empowered by her toned physique and muscular arms, explaining that she’s always prioritized strength.
