Prime Video’s highly-anticipated Off Campus, based on beloved book series, lands first-look trailer

Prime Video just dropped the first trailer for its new series, Off Campus. Based on the popular books by Elle Kennedy, all eight episodes will be available to stream on May 13th.

Off Campus tells the story of a high-level ice hockey team and the relationships—romantic, platonic, and personal—of the players and those around them. The series explores themes of love, loss, and growing up as the characters navigate the challenges of becoming adults and building lasting connections.

I’m so excited for the first season! It’s going to be a classic opposites-attract story – Hannah, played by Ella Bright (you might recognize her from Malory Towers and The Crown), is a really sweet, quiet songwriter, and she ends up falling for Garrett, the star hockey player at Briar University. He’s played by Belmont Cameli, who was great in the Saved By The Bell reboot!

The initial trailer for Off Campus reveals Hannah and Garrett pretending to date, hoping to catch the eye of Justin (Josh Heuston, known from Dune: Prophecy), a rock star and Hannah’s long-time crush.

The second season of Off Campus was announced in February. According to Deadline, each season will focus on a different group of characters, similar to how Bridgerton tells its stories.

What to Read Next

The first season features Mika Abdalla, Antonio Cipriano (known for Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin), Jalen Thomas Brooks (The Pitt), and Stephen Kalyn (Gen V).

Louisa Levy, known for her work on the show The Flight Attendant with Kaley Cuoco, is the creator of a new series. She’ll be working with Gina Fattore as co-showrunners and executive producers.

Vernon Sanders, head of television at Amazon MGM Studios, shared that Elle Kennedy’s popular Off-Campus series has connected with a large readership by exploring themes many people can relate to, like finding yourself and the importance of relationships.

With Louisa Levy leading the way, and with support from Temple Hill, Leanna, and Neal, we’re excited for Prime Video viewers around the world to experience this beloved story again.

Off Campus lands on Prime Video on 13 May.
