Prime Video Announces Release Date for Season 2 of Chris Pratt’s Jack Ryan Replacement Series

Prime Video has revealed when Season 2 of the Chris Pratt-led series will premiere. The announcement was made at Amazon’s Upfronts event this year.

The popular series The Terminal List will return with eight new episodes on Prime Video on October 21, 2026, available in over 240 countries. Based on the bestselling novel, the show follows Navy SEAL Commander James Reece (Chris Pratt) as he fights against a hidden conspiracy that threatens global stability. The new season will focus on Reece’s quest for revenge and a path to redemption.

The Terminal List Season 2 Becomes a ‘Globe-Trotting Espionage Thriller’

Season two of Prime Video’s thriller finds Reece having completed his original mission and now embarking on a worldwide adventure. Instead of focusing solely on revenge, the new season expands into a fast-paced, international spy story, taking him to locations across the Indian Ocean, Africa, the Middle East, and Europe.

Prime Video announced that several popular actors from previous seasons will be returning, along with some new faces. Reece, played by Gabriel Luna, will investigate a complex conspiracy stretching from Moscow to the CIA headquarters in Langley, and it will connect to secrets from his own family’s past. Returning cast members include Tom Hopper as Raife Hastings, Constance Wu as Katie Buranek, Dar Salim as Mohammed Farooq, and Luke Hemsworth as Jules Landry.

Season Two takes the story global with a more diverse cast. Joining the series are Costa Ronin, Olga Kurylenko, Yul Vazquez, Arnold Vosloo, Shiraz Tzarfati, and other new faces, as confirmed by Prime Video.

Although The Terminal List is expanding its scope, Prime Video has promised fans that the show will stay true to real-world experiences. Jared Shaw, a former Navy SEAL and Executive Producer, and Max Adams, a former Army Ranger and Executive Producer, are responsible for ensuring the action and details feel authentic.

The show also features contributions from military veterans who work as writers, actors, technical advisors on set, and directors, including Ray Mendoza, a former Navy SEAL (known for his work on ‘Warfare’). Prime Video has stated that the series remains dedicated to accurately and respectfully depicting the experiences, bonds, and difficult choices faced by members of Special Operations.

Terminal List’s Prequel Series Hit Prime Video in 2025

Fans have waited four years for Season 2 of The Terminal List, which first appeared in 2022. Last year, they got a glimpse of what was to come with a darker, more intense prequel. The new season arrives on Prime Video in August 2025, continuing Ben Edwards’ (Taylor Kitsch) story as he transitions from a Navy SEAL to the CIA and uncovers the harsh realities of war.

Pratt was also in the earlier installment, and Tom Hopper joined the series as Lieutenant Raife Hastings, also known as Charlie Zero-One/0-1. Dark Wolf was well-received by both critics and viewers, earning a 75% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The initial season of the main series has been a hit with audiences, maintaining a strong 94% score on the Popcornmeter. However, critics have been less enthusiastic, giving it a ‘rotten’ rating of 42% based on reviews from over 55 critics.

The Terminal List Season 2 arrives on Prime Video on Oct. 21, 2026.
