Pregnant Aubrey Plaza flashes her bare bump on cozy outing with boyfriend Christopher Abbott

Aubrey Plaza, who is expecting a baby, looked radiant while walking with her partner, Christopher Abbott, in New York City this week. She showed off her baby bump during their affectionate outing.

The 41-year-old actress, who recently announced she is expecting a baby, displayed her baby bump while wearing a short white t-shirt during a walk with 41-year-old Abbott.

Eva Plaza recently welcomed a baby, just over a year after the passing of her husband, filmmaker Jeff Baena, who died in January 2025 at the age of 47.

Abbott was lovingly attentive to his girlfriend while they were walking, not long before their first child is born.

She shared that she and her boyfriend had been trying to get pregnant, and they recently found out they are expecting a baby this month while discussing her previous experiences with birth control.

‘There is a baby inside of me right now,’ she said on the Smartless podcast. 

Today was a busy day with doctor’s appointments for both my dog and me. We both had scans – mine earlier, and my dog is getting his right now. I’m really being honest about this.

She explained that they discovered she was pregnant after both she and her partner had ultrasounds. The ultrasound revealed a baby.

With her usual playful wit, she quipped, ‘It’s already got a disguise and a tiny hat. I think it’s ready to be born!’

When asked about becoming a mother for the first time, she shared that she’d always been curious to experience it herself.

‘It just seems so interesting,’ she added. 

Plaza and Abbott were seen together publicly for the first time this month after announcing they were expecting a baby.

The couple was photographed enjoying the opening night afterparty for the Broadway revival of Death of a Salesman at Katz’s Deli in New York City.

Prior to announcing their exciting baby update, they had kept their romance under wraps. 

The pair initially collaborated in 2019 on the independent film Black Bear. They then worked together again on a revival of Danny And The Deep Blue Sea, which was performed Off-Broadway from October 2023 through January 2024.

I remember listening to Aubrey Plaza on Amy Poehler’s podcast last August, and she opened up about how deeply affected she was by the loss of her father, Baena. It was really moving to hear her talk about her grief so honestly.

I’m truly happy to be here with you right now. I’m doing okay and present in this moment.

I’m thankful for life and generally doing alright, though each day still presents its challenges.
