Hollywood icon Kate Jackson had to see a doctor after a nasty spill on the ski slopes recently.
The Charlie’s Angels star said she tumbled when taking on an Olympic practice ski run in Colorado.
The 77-year-old actress shared with People magazine that she’s currently receiving physical therapy for a painful back injury.
I was so relieved to hear she said she was skiing really confidently before the accident. Apparently, she just tried something a little too daring, and that’s what led to the crash. It’s a shame, but thankfully she seemed okay beforehand.
Jackson explained that he tried to speed up, saying, “I thought, let’s see if I can push it a little harder.” Unfortunately, he crashed badly, injuring his back. However, he assured everyone he’s now doing okay.
‘I came down the thing and took a fall that every time you see it, you go, “Ouch,”‘ she added.
I fell forward into the snow, and as I looked up and around, I asked if anyone had captured what just happened.
Therapy is helping her get back to normal.
‘I’m a little sore, but I’m doing physical therapy, I’m stretching,’ she explained.
I didn’t damage anything, I’m just not as quick and nimble as I used to be. I still feel young at heart, like I’m 25, but my body tells a different story. I think I’m going to go snowshoeing now.
The TV star now lives in Virginia after calling Los Angeles home for decades.
She shared how much she loves living on her farm in Virginia. It’s a spacious 128 acres, mostly wooded, with chickens and a couple of horses. She finds the property beautiful, quiet, and peaceful, and feels it’s the perfect place for her, especially because of its mountain setting.
In early April, she met up with her former Charlie’s Angels co-stars, Jaclyn Smith and Cheryl Ladd, to celebrate the show’s 50th anniversary at PaleyFest in Los Angeles.
And she has stayed in town to look for some work opportunities.
She’s currently in California, exploring opportunities. She’s hoping to find work, either acting or directing, and really enjoyed her time directing, feeling confident in her abilities.
And she wisely kept her SAG and DGA cards after a long break.
She confessed that deep down, she always suspected she’d want to revisit a particular experience. ‘It’s just what creative people do,’ she explained – they need to express themselves creatively.
