Netflix’s Man on Fire Is Officially the No. 1 Series in the World

Like the popular series Reacher, the new Netflix show Man on Fire is based on a well-known book that’s been adapted for the screen before. The original Man on Fire story, featuring the character Creasy, was first published in 1980 and previously made into films in 1987 and 2004. According to FlixPatrol, the Netflix series quickly became a hit, reaching top status just one day after its April 30th release.

XRP to $18k? One Model Says Yes, But Don’t Sell Your Granny’s Teeth Just Yet!

In a post that’s gone more viral than a meme about a cat in a suit, Bull Winkle laid out this audacious prediction. Market sage Vincent Van Code (no relation to the painter, presumably) declared it “arguably one of the better price modeling systems” he’s ever seen. High praise indeed, though one wonders if he’s been grading on a curve-the crypto curve being as flat as a pancake after a steamroller’s visit.

Uncle Sam’s Crypto Heist: $500M Vanishes Faster Than a Gogol Nose!

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, with a flourish worthy of a Gogol protagonist, announced on Fox Business’s “Kudlow” that the Yanks have seized close to $500 million in Iranian crypto assets. “We are freezing bank accounts everywhere!” he declared, his voice dripping with the satisfaction of a man who’s just discovered a hidden stash of pickled cucumbers. “More importantly,” he added, “we are making people less willing to deal with the regime.” Oh, the horror! Retirement funds, overseas real estate-nothing is sacred in this grand larceny of statecraft!

Lexon and Jeff Koons’ ‘Balloon Dog’ Lineup Is the Perfect Harmony of Light and Sound

Okay, so the new Chromatic Collection just dropped, and it’s seriously cool. They took the classic Koons figure and gave it this awesome, futuristic, almost robotic look. The best part? They’ve added a bunch of light and sound effects, and there are four limited-edition colors coming out in 2026. It’s a big upgrade from last year’s stuff – they’ve really upped the detail with these shiny metal parts, but they kept the see-through vibe we all love.

Blade Runner 2099 Sci-Fi Series Delayed to 2027, Six Years After Announcement

Ridley Scott first announced a Blade Runner TV series way back in 2021. The show was later titled Blade Runner 2099 in 2022, and in 2024, Michelle Yeoh and Hunter Schafer (from Euphoria) were cast as the leads. Originally planned for release in 2026, the show has now been delayed until 2027. If it does come out then, it will have been a full six years since Scott’s initial announcement.
