This year, Blizzard revealed that Freja is set to be the next damage hero in Overwatch 2, debuting during Season 16. Despite Season 15 having just begun, fans won’t have to wait long before they can play as her! In addition to her appearance in the game, Freja will also star in a dedicated hero trailer, motion comic, and main game trailer. Get ready for the live Freja playtest countdown! Regardless of your location, the trail will synchronize simultaneously for all participants, making this countdown applicable to everyone.

The trial for playing Overwatch 2’s character Freja will be held between March 21 and March 24. During this time, gamers will get the chance to test her skills and use her special moves and final ability. She is set to become a permanent addition to the game next season after these test days.

Because March 21 is a Friday, participants can spend the whole weekend testing out Freja. Typically, trials for games like Overwatch 2 last through Tuesday afternoon (March 25) instead of ending on Monday (March 24).

As a dedicated gamer, I can’t wait to welcome Freja into the world of Overwatch 2! Blizzard hasn’t spilled the beans about the exact release date for Season 16 yet, but based on our experience with previous seasons and the Battle Pass from Season 15, it seems like we might be seeing a new season around late April 2025, possibly on a Tuesday. Can’t wait to see what surprises they have in store for us!

For now, players can anticipate trying out Freja’s equipment during the upcoming playtest. Her main attack is Revdraw Crossbow, and her secondary one is Take Aim. Quick Dash and Updraft are her mobility skills, while Bola Shot serves as her ultimate ability. Lastly, her passive skill is called Bounty Hunting.
