As a dedicated follower of the lives of celebrities, I find it heartbreaking to see a beloved couple like Ore and Portia going through a difficult time. Their story reminds me of my own journey; while I’ve never won the Strictly Glitterball or been married to a musical theatre star, I’ve certainly shed tears that could fill a small pool (and no, it wasn’t because someone was playing sad music nearby).

As a devoted admirer, I couldn’t help but be touched by a heartfelt message penned by Ore Oduba’s wife Portia, which she recently unveiled. The tender sentiments in this letter found at Charing Cross Station echo profoundly in the wake of their marital separation.

Last week it was revealed that the beauty and the popular presenter had gone their separate ways earlier this year after nine years of marriage.

Portia posted a heartfelt message on Instagram, expressing her feelings as she works through the aftermath of the split.

In her blog entry, she described her delightful experience spending a day in London with her sibling, followed by the discovery of an isolated letter sitting on a bench.

Sharing a photo of the text, it said: ‘Could it be that the finest moments of your life are yet to come? Perhaps the optimism within you serves as your guide, while the apprehension deep within steers you.’

Could it be that the regrets you carry and the suffering you long to leave behind have brought you to this instant, where everything you’ve prepared for intersects with the chance you’ve been waiting for?

Could it be possible that it may not resemble your expectations? More often than not, it deviates from the descriptions given to us by others. But what if deviating from those expectations isn’t necessarily a negative outcome?

Could it be possible that you’re fashioning something where there was nothing previously? And maybe the reason it’s taking more time is because you’re venturing into uncharted territory? Perhaps ‘taking longer’ doesn’t necessarily imply a lack of success.

Could it be that it surpasses your expectations, fitting perfectly with your preferences? Perhaps the challenges aren’t signs of mistakes, but rather indications of something truly valuable not coming without effort. Might it be possible that choosing what feels right for you sometimes involves a bit of pain or heartache?

“Suppose this situation calls for your determination. Suppose you pour out every ounce of bravery you have. Suppose it turns out that none of it was in vain. Suppose I were to tell you that you are on the verge of success?

Instead of keeping your hopes at ‘one day perhaps’, why not make it a reality by saying ‘eventually, this will be mine’? Perhaps there are times when we must courageously guide our hearts, urging them to step forward and whisper: ‘let’s take one more step’.

Another added: ‘Amazing that this letter came your way…. definitely a sign.’

‘Best days ahead no doubt about it,’ said a third.

The letter was written by photographer and writer Nadia Meli, who is known for leaving her ‘Life Letters’ around the capital.

It comes after Ore and Portia announced their split on Thursday.

Announcing some personal news, Ore mentioned: “Hello everyone. It’s regrettable but Portia and I parted ways earlier in the year. We appreciate every bit of love you’ve given us throughout the years.

“We’re grateful for your understanding as we go through this challenging phase, keeping our privacy intact. There won’t be any more statements from us. Please show kindness at all times.

In the year 2015, Ore and Portia, who have a six-year-old named Roman and a three-year-old named Genie, got married. This was five years after they first crossed paths at Loughborough University in 2010.

In 2018, Ore and Portia revealed they had welcomed their first child, son Roman, in January.

Three years later, they said Portia had given birth to their daughter Genie.

Ore won the Strictly glitterball in 2016 with his professional dancer partner Joanne Clifton.

The musical theatre star previously admitted he couldn’t stop crying on his wedding day.

On his wedding day, he shared with The Mirror that he wept from 11 am until 2 am that very same night.

‘In this photo, I’m seen tearing up, while my friends are all grinning, and Portia is in fits of laughter beside me. However, I seem to be the only one shedding tears.’

As well as Strictly and his presenting career, Ore has been touring with Pretty Women UK.
