OneState RP Review: A freedom-filled roleplay sandbox that brings an enjoyable experience

OneState RP is a new social adventure game developed by ChillBase. It lets you build a life for yourself in a city modeled after modern Los Angeles. In this review, I’ll share my thoughts on the game and give it an honest rating.

I tested OneState RP for 20 hours on a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra (Android). This gave me plenty of time to fully experience the game and write a thorough and fair review.

Freedom-driven gameplay with strong customization options

Let’s start by looking at how OneState RP actually plays. When you first join, you’ll choose a server and region. Then comes creating your character – you have a lot of options to personalize them, including their age, how they look, what they wear, and even how they express themselves.

I found the beginning of the game very easy to get into, thanks to clear tutorials that covered everything from driving to character development. The little details, like having passports and licenses in-game, really added to the feeling of being part of the world, personally.

As you become more well-known and build your reputation in the city, you’ll be able to buy and customize cars, or focus on building up your businesses to earn money while you’re not actively playing. You can also join either a gang or a faction like the police. I preferred joining a gang because it offered more opportunities for player-versus-player combat, better weapons, and more valuable rewards.

High replayability with constant activities and player interaction

One of the best things about this game is how much you can keep playing it. There’s always something to do, whether it’s side activities like driving a taxi or mining, bigger world events like Harbor Heist or Arsenal Raid, completing contracts, or just interacting with other players – it’s a really engaging experience.

The game features a large city with plenty to discover, so exploration stays interesting. Playing on a busy server with over 500 people is a great way to meet new players and have a different experience each time. Alternatively, you can focus on combat and take on rival gang members.

Decent visuals and solid audio, but not very realistic

The game looks pretty good, particularly with the highest graphics settings. Avoid playing on low settings, though, as the visuals become noticeably grainy. On the plus side, it maintains a smooth 60 frames per second, which is a big benefit.

The game’s visuals are somewhat simple and don’t aim for realism, so don’t expect top-tier graphics. However, it generally looks good and functions as intended, meaning you shouldn’t encounter major problems. The audio also complements the game nicely, with well-done environmental sounds that enhance the experience.

Clean UI and surprisingly smooth controls for mobile

The user interface is generally easy to use and understand, despite having a lot of information displayed at once. The constant activity in the world chat can be a bit distracting initially, but it’s common in these types of games and you’ll likely get used to it. Overall, you should be able to navigate the options without feeling overwhelmed.

I was pleasantly surprised by how well the game handled. I expected it to feel like other similar games, but the movement, driving, and combat were all really smooth and reacted quickly. Plus, I didn’t encounter any glitches or problems during my time playing, which is great considering how much time I’ve spent playing RP Grand.

Optional in-app purchases, but it gets expensive if you decide to spend

OneState RP, like many games today, has things you can buy with real money, such as cases, vehicle upgrades, and special services. However, you can definitely play and enjoy the game without spending any money, and that’s how I’m playing right now – you’re never required to make a purchase.

Just a heads-up: while you can spend money in the game, don’t rely on those low prices, as costs can add up quickly. Luckily, there’s plenty to enjoy for free! You’ll get daily, weekly, and monthly packs through sales, plus free cases from the Small Economy and Premium Tuning options, and even a common case just for opening cases.

Final Verdict

OneState RP offers a fun and engaging role-playing experience, with plenty to do, customize, and explore, plus a friendly community. Although the graphics aren’t top-of-the-line and the menus can feel a bit messy, the smooth gameplay and the freedom it provides more than make up for these minor drawbacks.

If you’re like me and love getting lost in online roleplaying games where you can really build a life and hang out with other players daily, you HAVE to check out OneState RP. Seriously, their servers are always packed – usually 500+ people are online at once – so you’ll never be short on things to do.
