If I get another life, I’m coming back as Dina Broadhurst.

Even at age 50, the artist known for nude portraits remains incredibly striking – with tanned skin, a natural sense of fashion, and remarkably long, sculpted legs. She’s often called the ‘Body of the East’ and still lives up to the name.

Dina is more than just physically attractive; she’s kind, friendly, and truly a pleasure to interact with. Even in our brief online conversations, she’s always been incredibly sweet and pleasant.

When I need a boost to work out, eat healthy, or just admire someone’s amazing look, I browse Dina’s Instagram. I’m totally impressed (and Dina, just to be clear, I’m attracted to men!).

This won’t be a harsh critique, as Dina hasn’t given me any reason to be critical – unlike some people I’ve written about before. (I’m not naming names like Abbie Chatfield or Constance Hall, but I suspect you guessed!)

Of course, even the nicest women aren’t safe from gossip in the eastern suburbs. And as your source for all the local buzz, it’s my job to share what I’m hearing, even when it’s unkind.

And by golly Miss Molly, they’re mean.

There’s a lot of talk on Transvaal Avenue, and it’s not about Dina’s fashion choices. People are buzzing about her new boyfriend, Danny Tchalaby – a German businessman and the founder of Maverick Founders, an investment group.

It’s no surprise everyone’s talking – he’s incredibly handsome. Dina seems to have a thing for younger men, which is something I can relate to! He’s fit, tanned, and appears completely head over heels for her. A friend shared that Danny is very kind to Dina and isn’t bothered by her success, which has been a problem with some of her past relationships.

It was incredibly obvious – he was even wearing a T-shirt featuring Dina in a red swimsuit, holding a book titled Lovers.

Honestly, there’s nothing that shows commitment quite like that, isn’t that right, everyone? And right in the heart of Double Bay, too!

Here’s the problem: all the affectionate photos, posing, and very public displays of affection – including attention-grabbing vacation pictures (with a revealing bikini, and even a golf outing with Dina’s attractive son) – are fueling gossip. According to my sources, the ‘mean girls’ are focusing on one thing: this new romance.

It’s less about her feelings for Danny and more about trying to make her ex, John Winning Jr., a little jealous.

John Winning Jr., the wealthy owner of Winning Appliances – you’ve probably bought an appliance from him at some point! – is a highly sought-after bachelor in Sydney. He and Dina have been on-again, off-again for a few years, and one insider described their relationship as a bit awkward and one-sided. That’s a harsh assessment!

Dina has dated some attractive men, like real estate developer Max Shepherd and model Kengi Meert, but she always found herself returning to John. It’s a feeling many people can relate to – having that one person you just can’t quite let go of.

They were a wonderful couple – truly great together. They were a handsome pair, and Dina always seemed incredibly happy with him.

Their two-year relationship was rocky, with frequent breakups and makeups, but somehow, they managed to make it work.

When the relationship ended in December, I heard Dina was really upset. It was especially hard when John quickly started dating Holly Young, a contestant on Big Brother Australia. To make things worse, Holly was not only younger than Dina, but also someone Dina considered a friend – they’d been seen together at several events.

How’s that for loyalty, eh ladies? That would have stung – some friend!

Dina, I understand why you’re so openly affectionate if you’re trying to make John jealous. I’ve been there! I’ve done it all – the very obvious displays of affection, the posts showing how much better I am now, and even the perfectly posed pictures of a new partner looking amazing and adoring. Though, I admit, I never managed to get him to wear a shirt with my face on it.

I deliberately made sure certain people found out I was doing well. I’d casually show up at the same events and places as them, even running into one of them at his local grocery store – which was mortifying! – just to let him see how happy I was now.

And if I’m really honest, it wasn’t about my new man at all. It was about the old one.

To make matters worse, it didn’t even accomplish anything. As far as I know, he actually got married, which meant all my carefully prepared witty responses were completely unnecessary.

It rarely works.

Once something is finished – when someone feels completely done with it – there’s nothing you can do to change their mind or win them back. Trying to convince them at that point just comes across as desperate, not strong.

And worse than that, it just sets the mean girls off – and Dina – you are too far good for that.
