Nike Is Bringing Back the Iconic KD 6 “Seat Pleasant” in 2027

The Nike KD 6 “Seat Pleasant” features a color scheme of Sonic Yellow, Midnight Navy, and Tropical Teal. It has the SKU number IQ0145-700 and retailed for $135 USD. This shoe is scheduled to release in Spring 2027 and will be available through Nike.

People are really responding to classic styles in basketball shoes, and Nike is capitalizing on that with Kevin Durant’s older signature models. Even though Durant is currently playing in his 19th shoe, Nike is bringing back some fan favorites. The KD 6, a particularly popular shoe from his line, is returning in 2027, starting with the release of the special “Seat Pleasant” colorway, which is inspired by his hometown.

Before becoming an NBA superstar, Kevin Durant practiced at his local recreation center in Seat Pleasant, Maryland. When Nike first released the KD 6 in 2013, they designed it with a color scheme that celebrated his beginnings. Now, in 2027, the re-released version will remain faithful to that original design. It will feature the same eye-catching colors: a bright yellow base with strong contrasts of navy blue and teal.

The KD 6 quickly became popular when it first launched, largely because of its daring and innovative design. Built for Kevin Durant’s all-around game, the shoe is low to the ground and features a special two-layer upper with Flywire technology for a secure fit. Its most recognizable feature—the distinctive, uneven split tongue—is making a comeback.

The shoe will likely keep the same comfortable cushioning it originally had, offering great impact protection with Max Air in the heel and a bouncy feel with Zoom Air in the front. This means the KD 6 still performs well on the basketball court, just like it did during one of the most exciting periods of Kevin Durant’s career.
