Apple TV has released a new trailer for Star City, the upcoming space-race drama starring Anna Maxwell Martin. The trailer for this For All Mankind spin-off is suspenseful and suggests a story filled with betrayal, tension, and danger, while also offering a glimpse of Martin’s powerful performance.
The new show, Star City, will premiere with its first two episodes on May 29th. After that, new episodes will be released every Friday until the season ends on July 10th.
The original series imagined a different version of history and explored the broader space race. However, Star City will specifically tell the story of the Soviet Union’s journey to become the first nation to land a man on the moon, highlighting the dangers, hardships, and dedication involved.

The story centers on Star City, a fast-paced and suspenseful thriller that reimagines the space race. It focuses on the pivotal moment when the Soviet Union achieved the historic feat of landing the first human on the moon.
I’m so excited because this time, we’re getting a look at the Soviet space program from the inside! It’s not just about the rockets and the science; we’re seeing the personal stories of the cosmonauts themselves, the brilliant engineers who built everything, and even the intelligence officers working alongside them. It’s incredible to think about all the risks they took to push space exploration forward, and I can’t wait to learn more about their lives.

Last month, it was revealed that the series For All Mankind will conclude after its sixth season. This announcement was made just before the premiere of season five, which began airing on March 27th.
The creators of For All Mankind, Moore, Nedivi, and Wolpert, released a statement saying they were grateful for the chance to tell the story over six seasons and excited to conclude it as they had envisioned.
We’re thrilled with how the show turned out and thankful to Apple TV and Sony Pictures Television for their support in bringing it to a satisfying conclusion.
