As a gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt, I can confidently say that The Orville has proven to be a gem among the vast expanse of television shows available today. Like a seasoned space explorer traversing uncharted territories, I’ve seen my fair share of sci-fi series, but none have quite captured my heart like this one.

Enthusiasts of The Orville are growing restless for updates regarding a potential renewal since the show concluded its third season on August 4, 2022. Scant tidbits of news over the past two years can certainly be disheartening. Some viewers might have shifted their interest away from this sci-fi comedy that draws inspiration from Star Trek. However, a dedicated fan base is still actively sharing snippets from the series, attracting new admirers to the franchise.

The positive announcement has spread to X, and enthusiasts are already preparing for a potential season 4, although it hasn’t been officially announced yet.

On December 1st, it appears that The Orville has moved higher in Hulu’s rankings due to increased interest, as reported by @televisionstats on X, placing it as the 8th most watched series on the streaming platform that day.

Although receiving a lot of viewership doesn’t necessarily mean Hulu will renew the series, it does provide an opportunity for viewers to express their interest in the show. For those who may have doubted The Orville’s relevance, these numbers serve as evidence that it continues to thrive. Climbing up to the #8 spot on ratings is quite an accomplishment!

Though it’s been two years since our last encounter with Captain Ed Mercer and his crew, loyal fans like us are eagerly anticipating more exciting journeys. Though whispers of Season 4 have circulated, we yearn for a firm confirmation. This series truly merits additional seasons (perhaps even more than one).
