Morrissey, the lead singer of the popular 1980s band The Smiths, is touring again this year. He’s been performing for a long time and is known for giving great concerts when he appears.
The problem with Morrissey is his unreliability. He frequently cancels shows, leaving fans needing to request refunds. Seeing him perform is incredible if he actually shows up – it’s worth the ticket price – but there’s always a chance the concert will be canceled, and you’ll end up out of luck.
Morrissey recently cancelled nearly half of his scheduled shows – 49 out of 100 – which is unusual for any musician. While he may have good reasons for each cancellation, the sheer number of them is quite high and could discourage fans.
Morrissey drops 2026 tour dates (but you might find yourself missing out)
He’s planning a tour in 2026 to promote a new album. He hasn’t released many albums in the last ten years because he’s had trouble finding and maintaining a record label. His newest saying, ‘Make-Up is a Life,’ isn’t considered one of his strongest statements. The songs on the album all sound quite alike and lack much variation in tempo.
