This game has been showering us players with more Dice Rolls, filling our gaming bags with enticing freebies through its events and tournaments. This August 2024, get ready for the adrenaline-pumping Desert Drift Tournament, where competition meets rewards in MONOPOLY GO!. Climb your way up the leaderboard to lay your hands on some stunning prizes. Here’s all you need to know: how to join, the milestones to conquer, and the rewards waiting at the finish line for this thrilling event.
Desert Drift Tournament in MONOPOLY GO!
On August 3, 2024, the Desert Drift tournament begins and lasts for one day. During this competition, players need to land on the Railroad squares to collect Desert Drift Tokens, which can be used to participate in either Shutdown or Bank Heist mini-games. This event will occur simultaneously with the City Racers event, rewarding us with Race Flag tokens.
As for the Heist Tokens, a Small Bank heist earns you 4 Tokens, a Large Heist rewards you with 6 Tokents. Interestingly, if you find yourself Bankrupt, you’ll gain 8 Tokens instead. We’ve introduced a new challenge this time – Mega Heist, where you can collect 12 Tokens if you manage to land on it.
In this scenario, if you run into a blocked shutdown, you’ll get credit for two Shutdown Tokens. On the other hand, a successful shutdown will reward you with four Shutdown Tokens. To maximize your token count, consider leveraging the multiplier effect.

The Desert Drift Tournament consists of thirty key stages, providing a combined total of 3520 dice throws and approximately 1500 Racer Tokens. Additionally, there’s an important stage towards the end that offers 1300 dice rolls when you accumulate 1800 points at the 30th milestone.
