MCU Stars Dominate Prime Video’s U.S. Charts Ahead of Avengers: Doomsday

The Marvel Cinematic Universe remains incredibly popular and has generated billions of dollars, so it’s no surprise that its actors continue to find success in other projects. Right now, several films featuring MCU stars are at the top of Prime Video’s most-watched list, leading up to the release of Avengers: Doomsday.

According to FlixPatrol, the top 10 movies on Prime Video in the US right now are Crime 101, Mercy, Roofman, Agent Zeta, Sinners, Melania, Weapons, Overboard, A Minecraft Movie, and Pretty Lethal. Interestingly, six of these films feature actors who have appeared in Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movies, and one even stars an actor from the DC Universe (DCU), showing their continued popularity on streaming platforms beyond their roles as superheroes.

While these actors were already well-known, the superhero films definitely made them famous worldwide. With fans eagerly anticipating the next Avengers movie, Avengers: Doomsday, scheduled for release on December 18, 2026, many are enjoying seeing their favorite Marvel stars in other roles in the meantime.

Who Are the MCU Stars at the Top of the Prime Video Streaming Charts?

You can watch the movie Crime 101 on Prime Video in the U.S. It features familiar faces from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, like Chris Hemsworth (as Thor), Mark Ruffalo (as the Hulk), and Barry Keoghan. Halle Berry, known for her role as Storm in the X-Men films, also stars.

I’ve been checking out what’s popular on Prime Video, and right now, Mercy is the second most-watched movie in the US! It stars Chris Pratt, who I first really loved as Star-Lord in the Guardians of the Galaxy films. It’s cool to see Kenneth Choi in it too – you might recognize him from Captain America: The First Avenger and Spider-Man: Homecoming. He’s great in everything!

I was checking out what’s popular on Prime Video, and right now, a movie starring Channing Tatum is number three in the US! It’s cool to see him joining the Marvel universe – I remember really enjoying his performance as Gambit in Deadpool & Wolverine. And get this – Kirsten Dunst is in it too! She’ll always be Mary Jane Watson to me, from those classic Sam Raimi Spider-Man movies with Tobey Maguire.

The critically acclaimed film Sinners is currently the fifth most popular movie on Prime Video in the United States. It features Michael B. Jordan, known for his role in , and Hailee Steinfeld, who starred as Kate Bishop in the Hawkeye TV series. The movie is directed by Ryan Coogler, the director behind Black Panther and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

The new supernatural mystery-horror film, Weapons, features Josh Brolin, known for his roles including Cable in Deadpool 2. The cast also includes Julia Garner, recently seen as Silver Surfer in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, Alden Ehrenreich, who appears in Ironheart, and Benedict Wong, a familiar face as Wong in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Currently the eighth most popular movie on Prime Video, the 1987 comedy Overboard features Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell, along with a surprising connection to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Kurt Russell starred in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, and their son, Wyatt Russell, now plays John Walker in Marvel films.

Another Film Starring a Beloved DCU Star Is Also Among the Top 10

Although many actors from the Marvel Cinematic Universe are currently topping the charts on Prime Video, a film featuring a DC Universe star is also proving popular. That film is starring Jason Momoa, who gained a dedicated following from Game of Thrones, but truly became a global star through his role as Aquaman.

These films are all popular on streaming platforms for good reason: they feature strong actors and have been praised by critics. While some, like A Minecraft Movie, didn’t impress reviewers, audiences loved them and made them successful in theaters. Other hits include Crime 101 and Sinners.
