The Division Resurgence is a new third-person shooter RPG from Ubisoft Entertainment. You can choose from five different specializations to customize how you play. In this guide, I’ll recommend the best specialization to start with, explain how each one works, and more. Let’s get started!
The Division Resurgence Specialization Overview
Specializations first appeared in The Division 2, offering a signature weapon and a skill tree to go with it. In The Division Resurgence, they’ve been redesigned as complete kits that focus on your preferred playstyle. As you gain levels, you’ll unlock new signature weapons and special gadgets to customize your approach.
Each of the five Specializations offers two distinct Focuses, allowing you to customize how you play. For example, a Field Medic can specialize in either healing allies or damaging enemies with poison. You can improve both of these Focuses using skill points.
The Division Resurgence: Different Specializations
Like I was saying, one of the coolest things is you can swap between four different classes whenever you want while you’re playing. It’s awesome for experimenting with new skills and figuring out what works best when teaming up with your friends.
- Vanguard: Weapons Expert with 3-Star Difficulty.
- Demolitionist: Explosives Expert with 2-Star Difficulty.
- Bulwark: Defense Expert with 3 and half Star Difficulty.
- Field Medic: Healing and Skilsl Expert with 1-Star Difficulty.
Best Specialization to pick for Beginners in The Division Resurgence
Vanguard
I find the Vanguard Specialization particularly useful because it makes you a strong and effective fighter. It’s rated as a 3-Star challenge and allows you to use two combat skills. The Commando Smart Cover skill is especially helpful, as it strengthens nearby cover, reducing damage for you and your teammates, and even replenishes ammunition.
The Scanning Pulse is a required tool that allows you to survey an area with your AR lens, and enemies you scan take increased damage. However, the Tactical Link ability is what truly makes this specialization stand out, providing aiming assistance with each burst to help you efficiently eliminate enemies.
Once you reach level 12, I recommend trying out the different specializations to find the one that best suits how you like to play. While I find Vanguard to be a good choice for fast progress, what works for me might not work for you. Don’t be afraid to experiment and have fun!
