Laura Anderson has announced that she and her boyfriend, Clark Robertson, have broken up. She explained that the relationship ended because they lost trust and respect for each other.
After dating for a year and a half, the 36-year-old former Love Island contestant and the 32-year-old footballer from Dundee have split up. Sources say they attempted to reconcile before making the final decision.
On Monday evening, Laura announced on Instagram that she and her partner had split up, adding that she’d experienced some difficult lessons during their relationship.
I’ve decided to end my relationship with Clark. It was a difficult decision, but trust and respect have been lost between us. I wanted to address the recent rumors about this.
I’m finally accepting this and ready to move on. Life can be tough and teach us hard lessons, but I appreciate all your support.
Laura shared a post from Threads that said: “You loved him because you’re a loving person. You had fun because you are a fun person. You felt happy because happiness is within you.”
You always give your best, and that’s just a part of who you are. You love deeply, and you’ll get through this just fine.
Laura’s last social media post with Clark was on February 21 after a spa break.
She traveled to Dubai with her daughter Bonnie, who is two years old, earlier this month. Bonnie’s father is her ex-partner, Gary Lucy, but she went on the trip without her current partner, Clark.
I remember back in December, Laura shared some really heartwarming thoughts about navigating the holidays with blended families. She also let us know that things were going great with Clark – it was lovely to hear!
She told The Sun that the holiday season can be difficult, especially for blended families, and often brings emotional challenges.
I never anticipated this situation, or how to handle it. Having a child of my own, then meeting someone who also has children… it hasn’t been easy, and things haven’t always gone smoothly.
As a lifestyle expert, I’m thrilled to share that Laura and Clark are doing wonderfully! She told me their relationship is really blossoming, and honestly, they’ve never been happier. It’s so lovely to see them thriving together.
Things are going really well for us right now, actually. It’ll be lovely to have the children all together at Christmas, as they all get along so well.
She kept praising her ex, noting he’s a very supportive father to his two children from a previous relationship, and she appreciates that.
Laura previously opened up to Daily Mail about family life.
Oh my gosh, she just sounds so content! She was talking about how amazing family life is, and honestly, it just makes me melt! She even hinted at maybe having another baby – another little one to adore! And get this, she clarified her ring isn’t an engagement ring, but she’s totally happy, which is all that matters! I’m just living for her happiness right now, and imagining all the possibilities! It’s just… perfect.
We recently visited Paris, and everyone kept asking if my partner and I were going to get engaged. While we were there, we actually saw someone propose, but it wasn’t to me!
‘But when it’s meant to be, maybe somewhere other than the city of love though.’
The television personality shared last year that she enjoys being a WAG and finds watching her partner, Clark, very attractive.
She used to dislike watching the sport, but after falling in love with Clark and understanding how it’s played, her feelings changed.
Laura recently shared with The Sun that she’s now considered a ‘WAG’ – a wife or girlfriend of a footballer – and surprisingly, she’s actually become a fan of the sport. She admitted she wasn’t interested in football before.
It honestly just brought back memories of my dad always taking the TV remote when I was a kid, so I never could watch my favorite shows.
I’ve actually started enjoying watching the games – I find him really attractive when he’s playing. He’s so assertive and takes charge on the field, which is different from how relaxed and easygoing he is normally. He’s always directing everyone during the game, and I’m often surprised by how much he’s taking control!
