Loose Women’s Denise Welch left ‘freaked out’ after life-changing surgery as she shocks co-stars with health confession

The television host, aged 66, expressed being utterly surprised or alarmed following an operation that brought about significant changes in her eyes.
Due to the constant hassle of wearing and maintaining them, Denise opted for lens replacement surgery as she grew tired of using glasses.
If she wasn’t wearing her signature black-framed spectacles, she wouldn’t be able to make out the audience or teleprompter.
As someone who has worn glasses for most of my life, I can truly relate to the actress’s sentiment. I remember the constant struggle of keeping them clean, the irritation of smudges and smears, and the hassle of having to carry around a tiny cloth at all times. The discomfort of wearing glasses all day, every day, is something that I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. That’s why, when I had the opportunity to get lens replacement surgery, I jumped at the chance. The freedom from glasses has been life-changing for me, and I can’t imagine going back to my old way of life. She mentioned, “It’s somewhat unnerving for me to admit this, but typically, the crowd appears indistinct from where I stand unless I wear my glasses. Now, I can make out the teleprompter.”
“I find it hard to believe, as I’ve never been able to read without glasses. I still need them for now.”
Regarding the process, she expressed that it was extraordinary. She communicated with me throughout the procedure, making it feel somewhat similar to being on a spaceship. He guided me step by step, and if you’re contemplating going through with it, I would recommend it.
Since 2005, Denise has consistently participated in the talk show. Lately, she asserted that being outspoken on Loose Women influenced her acting career positively, as it had a chain reaction, or a ‘knock-on effect.’

She mentioned that her active social life, which was often featured on Loose Women, had a ripple effect on her acting career. In other words, it caused some complications for her acting career.
However, on the other hand, it has opened up avenues for me beyond my acting career, such as dabbling in reality TV shows, some of which were not successful, while others had their moments.
During Tuesday’s episode on Loose Women, Denise playfully unveiled a fresh appearance after the panel made fun by suggesting she was about to have a makeover during the commercial break.
Alongside Ruth Langsford, Coleen Nolan, and Brenda Edwards, she engaged in a conversation about women’s encounters with hair loss.
Ruth shared her method for adding hair extensions to enhance her own hair’s density, occasionally pondering whether a longer hairstyle would suit her better.
Expressing her opinion, Denise stated that she felt it wasn’t fitting for older women to have long hair, which led her to undergo a change in her hairstyle herself.
True to her word, following the intermission, she gracefully reentered the studio, sporting a lengthy blonde wig that brought laughter to her fellow actors.
