The Rolling Stones show no signs of stopping anytime soon, and with sixty years of fantastic music under their belts, they continue to perform. However, many fans are eager to experience their classic hits in concert.
The famous band recently released a new album, Foreign Tongues, but doesn’t intend to tour in support of it. They don’t really need to, though – they have a dedicated fanbase that would buy their albums even without live performances. However, the band first became well-known through their concerts, and they still put on a great show.
Keith Richards recently shared some encouraging news with the Associated Press: while The Rolling Stones aren’t planning any concerts in 2026, a tour in 2027 is a possibility. He strongly suggested the band isn’t finished with touring and expects to be back on the road before long.
Keith Richards implies the Rolling Stones could be touring in 2027
Richards mentioned they’ll discuss future plans next year. Right now, they’ve just completed the album and are figuring out their next steps, which they’ll decide on soon, but not before the end of this year.
The biggest news is the possibility of future performances. While a tour won’t happen this year, a new album is on the way, and shows are likely to happen in 2027, both in Europe and North America.
The Rolling Stones played a limited number of concerts in the UK in 2022. More recently, in 2024, they toured the United States to promote their album, Hackney Diamonds.
The band Foreign Tongues has released two singles, including one called “Rough and Twisted” under the name The Cockroaches. This song explores topics people generally don’t talk about with their families.
The band followed up with the single “In the Stars,” a decent song but not their strongest. It hinted at the upcoming album’s rougher, more immediate sound, which was impressively recorded and mixed in under a month. Producer Andrew Watt’s involvement suggests a high level of sonic quality.
The Rolling Stones’ new album, due out on July 10th, includes a cover of Amy Winehouse’s “You Know I’m No Good” and features collaborations with several well-known artists, such as Robert Smith of the Cure, Paul McCartney, and Chrissie Hynde.
