One Stranger Things star is set to return to with an AI thriller film.
Since its debut in 2016, Stranger Things rapidly became a flagship show for Netflix. Following four successful seasons, the horror series concluded in December, marking a goodbye to its beloved characters. Millie Bobby Brown, a well-established Netflix star, has already appeared in several of the platform’s hit titles, and now another member of the Stranger Things cast is also strengthening their ties with the company.
According to Deadline, Caleb McLaughlin – known for his role as Lucas in all five seasons of Stranger Things – is joining the cast of a new AI thriller on Netflix. The film, directed by Joseph Gordon-Levitt, also stars Jeff Daniels, Rachel McAdams, Joel Edgerton, and Nnamdi Asomugha.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Kieran Fitzgerald wrote the screenplay, which is based on an idea from Natasha Lyonne. Rian Johnson and Ram Bergman’s T-Street Productions will produce the movie. They plan to start filming this summer, though a release date hasn’t been announced.
