I’m A Celebrity: Tensions reach fever pitch as David Haye mounts fence to steal Team Rhinos’ dinner after Lions lose AGAIN in Bushtucker Trial: ‘Camp has turned into a battleground!’

Honestly, I couldn’t believe it when David Haye started threatening to swipe the other team’s food after they won another Bushtucker Trial! He was such a sore loser, it was pretty shocking to watch.

During Tuesday night’s episode, viewers saw Team Rhino playfully tease the 45-year-old former boxer after they won the first challenge, called Wicked Watering Hole.

The situation became even more difficult when Sir Mo Farah and Seann Walsh, members of his team, returned from Cut Throat Cliff with nothing after a disastrous showing.

Beverley Callard and Sinitta seemed eager to flaunt their victory, even saying they were excited to playfully tease those who didn’t win.

People watching the competition described the two sides as if they were in a real fight. Annoyed, David said he would take food from the opposing team, claiming they were passing through territory he considered his own.

A sneak peek at next Wednesday’s show revealed the contestant scaling the arena’s fence while a food delivery zipped overhead on a cable.

The conflict started when David became upset about Team Lion losing the Bushtucker Trial to Team Rhino, and Adam Thomas and Jimmy Bullard made things worse by boasting about their victory.

David shared his thoughts on the Bush Telegraph, explaining that the group had been close-knit until someone created a division within the camp by building a fence. This caused a lot of tension and shifted the atmosphere, creating a sense of ‘us versus them’.

And it only got worse when Team Rhino celebrated  getting their meal of warthog leg delivered.

He explained that usually, when the bag arrives, it’s a happy occasion with everyone cheering. But this time, the way it was thrown over the fence didn’t feel right to him.

However, after another loss David was fed up and hatched a plan to steal the food.

He told Adam after getting fed up by the actor popping over the fence and asking if ‘he’s ok’.

David explained to Adam, “Stop asking, we figured it out. If you want to receive what you’re expecting tonight, you’ll need to travel through Team Lion’s territory.”

‘I’m not snatching a bag, I’m just taking what belongs to us. You think I’m joking, don’t you?

If I find any food here, I’m going to eat it. Honestly, things haven’t been very friendly between us, so I’m not feeling bad about taking it.

People shared their reactions on X about the intense fight happening on Celebrity South Africa. Many commented that the tension between the two groups (the Kingdoms) has created a very hostile environment in camp. Viewers found it particularly gripping to watch the contestants attempt the ‘Cut Throat Cliff’ challenge, and were relieved to see Beverly Callard make it through!

‘oooo this is so good!!!!’

‘obsessed with our Beverly Callard wanting to ragebait David Haye’.

Elsewhere in the episode, Seann Walsh was roasted for a mortifying blunder.

The celebrities learned they would need to answer trivia questions while leaning dangerously over the edge of a cliff to succeed in the challenge.

If a team answered correctly, they could choose to cut one of their opponent’s ropes. But if they answered incorrectly, they had to cut one of their own.

And that only meant one thing – falling to the ground.

Seann was stumped by the question: ‘Complete the lyrics to Toto’s 1982 song, “I bless the rain down in…”‘

He quickly pressed his buzzer and shouted: ‘Spain!’

Ant and Dec couldn’t contain their laughter and tried to hide their reaction behind their cards.

Dec explained that the Toto song ‘Africa,’ released in 1982, was the one he was thinking of, and then advised him, ‘You need to take care of things yourself.’

As he cut his rope, Seann said: ‘I don’t believe this.’

Let me tell you, when I got back to camp, I shared the story of what happened and honestly, the team absolutely lost it – we were all in stitches! It was one of those moments where you just can’t help but laugh until your sides hurt.

We arrived and had to stand on a hill, leaning backwards while they asked us trivia questions.

‘You know, the Toto song The Rain in Africa?

Ant and Dec started by singing and reciting the lyrics, including a reference to rain. Then, Seann simply said, ‘Spain’.

I’m A Celebrity… South Africa continues on Wednesday at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
