How Made in Chelsea star Liv Bentley’s new beau bowled her over… as she reveals she has been dating former cricket star for five months
As a devoted fan of all things Made In Chelsea and its enchanting cast, I find myself utterly captivated by the latest turn of events in the life of Olivia ‘Liv’ Bentley. The news that she has been quietly dating Rory Hamilton-Brown for the past five months has sent ripples of excitement through the fan community.
She’s no longer part of Made In Chelsea, paving the way for Julia ‘Muffin’ Pollard, also known as Muffin, and other lively new cast members, who are now gracing the latest season of this reality series. This show continues to document the lives and romantic escapades of individuals who consider London’s King’s Road as their neighborhood shopping district.
Although viewers of the ‘reality’ TV show yearn for any glimpse of Olivia ‘Liv’ Bentley, there is one male fan who seems to be getting a lot more attention from her.
It has been revealed that the fortunate individual is Rory Hamilton-Brown, aged 37, a previous cricketing prodigy who took over as Surrey’s captain at an early age of 22. However, it’s unlikely that Liv was aware of this.
Before opting to focus solely on cricket, Hamilton-Brown had represented Harlequins and the England Junior team in rugby.
At Chelsea’s Glebe Garden Gallery during the recent launch of Michelle van Tulder’s book ‘Table 72: The Girl Without A Filter’, Liv, aged 30, candidly confessed to me that she has never watched a game of cricket in her entire life.
But, as the saying goes, Hamilton-Brown bowled a maiden over.
For the past five months, it seems they’ve been quietly seeing each other, according to what she shared with me – a period long enough, as Liv emphasizes, for her to develop an interest in cricket.

As I sat there, engrossed in another sport, little did I know that it would be the very same event where I’d forge a connection with the impressive Rory, an alumnus of the prestigious £57,000-a-year Millfield School nestled in the heart of Somerset.
One evening during the Euros, Liv recounts, is when our paths crossed at a gathering held at the Hurlingham [club in Fulham]. She was the longest-standing cast member of Made In Chelsea until her departure earlier this year to devote herself fully to her venture, JOMO. This business endeavor seeks to challenge societal norms and break down stigmas associated with sexual health and intimacy.
‘We have mutual friends, but we had never met,’ Liv adds.
Hamilton-Brown is well-aware of how unpredictable and harsh fate can be. He reveled in early triumphs with Surrey, guiding the team to a promotion in 2011.
However, in the year 2012, Tom Maynard, his teammate, roommate, and friend from school, lost his life tragically. He was electrocuted on a railway track and hit by a train after he had attempted to escape police who had pulled him over for reckless driving.
Overwhelmed by the devastation, Rory decided to swap Surrey for Sussex, but an unfortunate wrist injury led to his retirement at just 27 years old in 2015.
