How Boosie Badazz sparked laughs with Jalen Brunson in Knicks blowout

Thursday night was rough for Atlanta Hawks fans. Despite a close start, the team fell apart in Game 6 against the New York Knicks, losing badly with a final score of 140-89 โ€“ a historically embarrassing defeat in the NBA playoffs.

The game quickly became unpleasant to watch, but Hawks fans did get one good laugh. It happened late in the game, after the outcome was already clear, so some people may have missed it, but those who saw it found it genuinely funny.

Rapper Boosie Badazz, a big fan of the Atlanta Hawks, had a funny exchange with New York Knicks player Jalen Brunson while sitting courtside during a game. What exactly happened between them that everyone is laughing about?

Here’s what happened between Boosie and Jalen Brunson

Late in the second quarter, with the score already a lopsided 83-34, the Knicks attempted a three-pointer with OG Anunoby shooting. The shot bounced off the rim and flew sharply towards the corner of the court.

Jalen Brunson hustled after a loose ball, trying to save it from going out of bounds. He dove and accidentally tumbled into the front row, landing right on top of a fan named Boosie.

Rather than just returning to play defense, Brunson playfully helped a laughing Boosie off his chair and gently lowered him to the ground near the court. He then quickly ran back down the court, visibly smiling.

Boosie stayed down on the ground, seemingly exaggerating an injury and clutching his leg. He even dramatically slapped the ground before finally sitting back down. It was already a bit of a comical moment, but the behavior didn’t stop when the game ended.

Brunson approached Boosie to check on him, and Boosie jokingly replied that he owed Brunson some steaks. As Brunson walked away, Boosie shouted that he’d message him directly. In the Instagram post accompanying the video, Boosie also said he wants courtside tickets to a game at Madison Square Garden, a venue he’s never visited before.

It’s not uncommon for NBA players to accidentally run into the stands during a game, but this time was different. It involved a surprising mix of basketball and the music industry, and thankfully, it all happened in good fun.

Even though one team was winning by a large margin โ€“ the score was 72-22 at one point โ€“ there was still a genuinely enjoyable moment for everyone watching. Now, it remains to be seen if Brunson will perform well enough to earn Boosie that promised steak and courtside tickets to a game in New York.
