Harry Potter Quidditch Champions – Beater Guide

As someone who’s spent countless hours watching Quidditch matches at Hogwarts and even dabbled in a game or two during my time there, I can confidently say that being a Beater in Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions is an exhilarating experience! It’s not just about violence; it’s about strategy, timing, and a bit of magic.

As a dedicated gamer diving into the magical world of Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions, I’d like to share some insights on one of the essential roles in this exhilarating game – the Beater. This role, my fellow gamers, is a game-changer that can swing the match in your team’s favor, especially during those critical moments. In this guide, let me walk you through the intricacies of playing as a Beater in the fictional sport of Quidditch.

How to Play Beater in Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions

In simpler terms, the role of a Beater is to use forceful actions in the game, with the objective being to overpower members of the opposing team. This involves causing harm to them during combat, which depletes their “health” meter and momentarily incapacitates them (causing them to drop the ball if they were holding it). If their health reaches zero, they will be unable to re-enter the playing field for a prolonged period.

Before the game starts, select the Beater position on the menu (I personally prefer this role), as you’ll have the option to play as either a Chaser or a Beater during the match. The role you don’t pick will automatically be handled by an AI character.

It’s beneficial for you to play as the Beater character since it gives you more control over the game’s dynamics. You’ll have two tools to use: one resembling a baseball bat for close combat, and a magic wand to throw a metal ball with at a distance. Keep in mind that each of these actions has a cooling-off period, so try to time them strategically.

Your primary move is the melee attack, which you’ll use frequently when you’re close enough to an opponent. Simply look at them for a while to prepare a strike. For ranged attacks, you’ll need to summon a metal ball first and then focus on it until it locks onto your target before firing. The more skill points you invest, the greater your damage output and the less time opponents have to dodge. Prioritize upgrading this role if you’re playing as Beater. Here are some tips for playing the Beater effectively:

  • Due to the metal ball not being precise enough, try to toss it at a static target (goalkeeper most of the time, for example) or to trail behind the target you are trying to attack. I’ve noticed that it’s hard to hit a target that’s coming your way. Also, make sure that the distance between you and the target is as short as possible to give the opponent less time to maneuver away from the attack.
  • It could be a great idea to harass the goalkeeper preemptively. Why? Because rarely does anyone like to play them, and they will mostly be manned by bots. This makes them an easy target to beat, rendering the goal hoops (mostly) empty. If you keep the goalkeeper in check, they will never have full HP, and you will be easily able to finish them off when it’s time for your Chaser to deliver the ball to their goal.
  • Usually, your role is to knock out the enemy Chaser that has the ball in their hands so that your own Chasers can easily take it away from them and score 10 points for your team, or at the very least, make the enemy team work harder for their 10 points.
  • Be on the maximum lookout for the Snitch appearance. This is your moment to truly shine. If you cripple the enemy team’s Seeker more than the opponent’s Beater harasses your own Seeker, the two of you will bring 30 points to your team.
