Gladiator star Giant insists BBC axed him because he appeared on social media with his new OnlyFans model girlfriend as he accuses them of lying about his show exit

The actor known for his role in ‘Gladiator’ claims the BBC fired him after he was seen on social media with his girlfriend, who is a model on OnlyFans.

Jamie Bigg, known as Giant, age 40, claimed in an interview with This Morning on Wednesday that the broadcaster wasn’t truthful about the circumstances surrounding his departure from the show.

Jamie said he was fired from the popular show because of his relationship with Taylor, who is 28 years old.

Okay, so here’s what happened: I’ve been hearing that this guy actually told his superiors he was planning to go public with his relationship – a relationship with someone in the adult entertainment industry. And, honestly, it’s a bit shocking, but shortly after sharing that information, he was dropped from the next season of the show. It just seems like timing is everything, and it raises a lot of questions about how these decisions are made.

The couple revealed to Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley on Wednesday that a post they made together on social media led to him losing his job.

He explained that the BBC told him they were considering different options and having discussions. Despite the show’s success in its third season, he was informed his contract for a fourth season wasn’t renewed due to someone else’s personal relationship.

Taylor confirmed: ‘I am an adult content creator’. I make 18+ content.’

And Jamie said he is still unclear why he was let go.

He explained that the reasons for his dismissal weren’t clear and he suggested asking those who made the decision for more information. He felt it was important to share his perspective. He also distinguished between ‘Giant,’ a role or persona, and Jamie, the individual.

Jamie and his ex-wife, Katie, divorced towards the end of last year. Katie has expressed feeling hurt by how quickly Jamie began a new relationship after their split.

I was really surprised to see her post on Instagram last week – she shared that finding out about his new relationship so quickly had been a shock to her. It’s tough to see her going through this, but she’s being so open about how she feels.

It’s deeply upsetting and difficult to handle, particularly because I’m still dealing with the end of my 13-year marriage.

“We’re not even divorced yet, which makes this even harder to sit with.”

Jamie clarified on the show This Morning that he and Taylor weren’t dating during the filming of the third season.

We’re taking our relationship to the next level and decided to share more publicly. Working together on social media is what initially led to people talking about us privately.

The couple shared that they met through social media, and they didn’t know each other well when they first connected.

Jamie believes he and Taylor have a similar experience: they didn’t really learn much about each other before they started dating. He suspects Taylor’s father might have filled her in on what he does for a living.

He explained that he issued his own statement about leaving the show to correct what he felt was an inaccurate portrayal by the BBC.

He said: ‘I thought it was very important for me to make my own statement.

They falsely claimed I left the show on my own accord, but that wasn’t true. I didn’t choose to leave.

He said last week that he had already announced his plans to publicly share his relationship, including the fact that his partner creates content on OnlyFans. Shortly after making that announcement, he was informed he would no longer be on the show Gladiators.

‘It wasn’t something I expected, especially given the commitment I’ve shown to the role.

I’ve always understood the responsibility that comes with public attention, and I think it’s important to be both honest and professional when people look up to you.

‘For me, that means not hiding parts of who I am or the people I care about.

I deeply admire my partner and everything she accomplishes. I’m very proud to support her.

I really appreciate the BBC and the whole team for giving me this incredible opportunity and all the amazing experiences. I’m now looking forward to what’s next.

I’m looking forward to the future and eager to start a fresh new phase in my life, both at home and in my career.

Jamie also said that when show executives discussed his departure, they explained it was due to concerns about protecting children.

The company revealed the cast member’s departure on Friday, sharing the news in a post on the official ‘Giant the Gladiator’ Instagram account.

After a fantastic performance, Giant’s time on the show Gladiators has finished, but it was an amazing experience!

Giant isn’t just a powerful competitor; he also inspires trust and goodwill in everyone around him. This incredible combination of strength and kindness makes him a true giant in every sense of the word. We thank you, Giant.

Taylor is a model and aspiring comedian who has appeared on various podcasts.

Based on her social media, she and Jamie both have ADHD and autism. She also loves playing sports and spending time with her dog.

I was so amazed to hear Taylor talk about how she took the leap and left her job at Costa! She decided to pursue modeling full-time, and it really paid off – she was earning up to £25,000 a month! It’s incredible to see her success.

Once fans noticed a resemblance between her and Megan Fox, she began to style her content—which she’s been creating for eight years—after the actress.

Shortly after the news was released on Friday, Jamie shared a puzzling message on social media about being removed from the show.

He told his 268,000 followers that he was forced to make a decision that went against his beliefs, and that he didn’t choose to do it.

The retired bodybuilder and firefighter shared that competing as a Gladiator was a huge honor and one of the best experiences of his life.

Walking into that arena, feeling the energy of the crowd, and knowing I represented strength and perseverance while being someone to look up to… those are feelings I’ll never forget.

I want to be clear: I didn’t choose to leave. I was put in a situation that went against what I believe in.

If you know me at all, you know I always support the people I care about and the things I believe in. That’s what it means to be a role model, in my opinion.

I’m really proud of my contributions to the show and thankful for all the support I received from everyone involved.

‘This isn’t the end. It’s just the beginning. Stay strong. Stand tall.’
