Gemma Collins recently posted some behind-the-scenes clips from the exciting finale of ‘I’m A Celebrity,’ showing a slightly awkward interaction with Jimmy Bullard.
The 45-year-old celebrity documented her evening at the studio for her new YouTube channel, and footage showed the 47-year-old soccer player seemingly ignore her.
Jimmy walked in as Gemma was getting the finishing touches on her striking green outfit, with her stylists and makeup artists gathered around her.
Immediately following his on-air outburst, Jimmy confronted Adam Thomas, who ultimately won the show. Their argument happened during a challenge on ‘I’m a Celebrity,’ and it almost led to Adam being eliminated.
I was absolutely gutted watching the show! After going live, Jimmy completely blanked Gemma backstage. He didn’t even offer a hello – he just gave her this really cold, hard look as he walked right past. It was awful to see, honestly.
Earlier in her video, David Haye visited her dressing room, and she jokingly told him, ‘It’s all just for show, isn’t it?’
The boxer quickly replies: ‘Nah, it’s the real thing.’
Gemma has publicly criticized David and Jimmy, strongly rebuking them for how they treated Adam and telling them they should feel ashamed.
During a heated argument on last year’s pre-recorded show, contestant Jimmy strongly accused Adam of being abusive, aggressive, and intimidating. Hosts Ant and Dec were unable to control the situation as the argument escalated with strong language.
Jimmy claimed the show unfairly removed parts of the heated argument that many people are already calling one of the most memorable television moments ever.
After a heated argument where Adam reportedly used a highly offensive slur against Jimmy during the filmed trial, Jimmy was given a chance to respond.
After a lengthy discussion, Ant and Jimmy ended their argument with Ant saying, ‘Let’s just agree to disagree,’ and walking away.
Even though the show is over, the controversy continues. Reports say David intends to sue ITV, claiming the show harmed his reputation.
He reportedly told his lawyers to send a letter to ITV, requesting a complete review of how the show was edited.
Okay, so everyone’s saying David was a bully to Adam – Adam, the winner! – during filming last year, which I still can’t believe. And honestly, some of the things he said about women? Ugh, it was awful. I was cringing the whole time, and people online were right to call him out. It just really bothered me, seeing that behavior on my favorite show!
The Sun reports that the former athlete believes the show’s editors intentionally portrayed him as the ‘bad guy’.
Oh my god, you won’t BELIEVE what I just heard! Someone close to David told me he’s absolutely furious – like, seriously incandescent with rage! Apparently, he’s completely blown away by how ITV has messed up the whole series and thinks they’re trying to pin all the blame on him. It’s awful! He’s so passionate about this, it’s heartbreaking to see him treated like this.
He points to instances, like the time Gemma Collins was targeted with fat-shaming, where skillful editing and dismissive reactions were used to portray his comment negatively.
He’s suing for financial losses, potentially up to £10 million, claiming the negative publicity damaged his career and income. His legal team believes he can recover these losses through the lawsuit.
I’m hearing that David was previously developing a show with Netflix, but unfortunately, that deal didn’t work out. It seems like other potential partnerships and brand collaborations have also been put on hold for the time being.
David has reportedly enlisted the services of £500-per-hour legal firm Gatehouse Chambers.
Daily Mail has contacted representatives of David and ITV for comment.
The comment about Gemma being ‘fat-shamed’ happened when the campmates were deciding who would face a trial. Gemma joked, ‘We all need to eat tonight,’ and David responded by singling her out with, ‘You need to eat tonight.’
Gemma reminded David she gets grumpy when she’s hungry. David then asked her where they both were the night before and what he had eaten.
The live final featured all 12 contestants with hosts Ant and Dec. Things got heated when David confronted Adam with a strong rebuke, and Ant and Dec playfully challenged the boxer about his controversial views on women.
The hosts revisited some of the show’s most frightening scenes, like a heated argument at camp and some uncomfortable things David said.
The show kicked off with a joke about the campmates enduring Gemma Collins’ loud snoring – and even more frighteningly, David Haye’s opinions on women.
Ant then pretended to square up to the sportsman for a fight as the audience laughed.
