The popular 1981 film Escape from New York, directed by John Carpenter, is being remade. The news comes 45 years after the original movie first came out.
StudioCanal announced on Monday at CinemaCon that they’re rebooting John Carpenter’s Escape from New York, and are also working on a fourth Paddington movie. Details about the Escape from New York reboot are scarce – it’s unclear if John Carpenter or Kurt Russell will be involved, or how far along the project is. A release date hasn’t been announced yet.
