Elle Fanning, 28, reveals she wants to become a mother and jokes ‘the baby-fever is nuts’ as she makes rare comments about ‘grounding’ boyfriend Gus Wenner

Elle Fanning has spoken about her family plans with boyfriend of three years Gus Wenner.

Oh my gosh, you guys, she’s on the cover of ELLE UK and she actually talked about him! Like, really talked! I’ve been following her forever, and it’s so rare to get any little detail about her personal life, especially about him. He’s 35, she’s 27, and the pictures are just… breathtaking. I’ve already zoomed in on every single one, obviously. It’s just amazing to finally hear something, anything, about their relationship. I’m officially losing it!

Elle, who stars as a young mother in her new TV show ‘Margo’s got Money Troubles,’ says the role has made her even more eager to have children. She jokingly described her desire for a family as ‘crazy baby fever.’

Just like the character she plays in the Apple TV show, Elle has a strong idea of what she wants her future to be. She describes her ambitious nature, saying, ‘I’m the type of person who plans ahead, sometimes maybe a little too much.’

I often think about my goals and what I hope to achieve in the future, and occasionally, those dreams actually become reality.

She’s optimistic that her dreams will come to fruition with her boyfriend, whom she considers to be as close as family.

He’s brought so much stability to my life. He’s always thinking ahead and planning fun things for us, like weekend trips. I love him dearly, and my family does too – even my sister and mom adore him. He truly feels like part of the family.

Since starting to date Gus in 2023, she’s been openly affectionate about their relationship, explaining that she’s a romantic and a sentimental person at heart.

I collect small objects and keepsakes to remind me of different times in my life. I especially cherish and keep every note my boyfriend writes me.

Elle and Gus became a couple and publicly debuted their relationship at the Golden Globe Awards in January 2024. They’ve since appeared together on the red carpet again at the 2026 awards ceremony.

Both sisters have backgrounds in the entertainment industry – Elle Fanning is the younger sibling of actress Dakota Fanning, who is 31 years old.

Gus Wenner is the son of Jann Wenner, who co-founded Rolling Stone magazine and, at 80 years old, currently leads the publication as executive chairman.

In January 2026, The Hollywood Reporter announced that the businessman had started a new company called Wenner Media Ventures. This firm is investing in the social media platform Public Opinion.

Elle’s next project involves promoting her new Apple TV+ series, “Margo’s Got Money Troubles.” The show follows Margot Millet, whose life is complicated by recent motherhood and a surprising lack of funds – she’s the daughter of a former waitress and a retired wrestler, and now she’s struggling financially after having a baby.

Michelle Pfeiffer stars as Shayanne Millet, and Nick Offerman plays her estranged husband, Jinx Millet.

The series also stars Hollywood mainstay Nicole Kidman as well as Rico Nasty. 

Margo’s Got Money Troubles is a TV adaptation of the same-name novel written by Rufi Thorpe. 

Elle has recently been filming ‘The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping,’ a new movie that tells a story from before the popular ‘Hunger Games’ series.

The upcoming movie, based on Suzanne Collins’ 2025 novel, takes place decades before the original ‘Hunger Games.’ It begins on the day of the 50th Hunger Games, a special edition known as the Second Quarter Quell, and explores the world of Panem during that time.

Elle plays a younger Effie Trinket in the film, joining a talented cast that includes Kieran Culkin as Caesar Flickerman, Maya Hawke as Wiress, Jesse Plemons as Plutarch Heavensbee, and Ralph Fiennes as President Coriolanus Snow.

The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping is in cinemas in November.
