Disney Parks Debuts Toy Story Passholder Magnet In the Style Of Paul Rudish Mickey Mouse Shorts

Disney Parks recently gave Annual Passholders a new magnet featuring characters from Toy Story. The magnet’s artwork is designed in the style of animator Paul Rudish. This is part of a trend at Disney Parks where familiar characters are reimagined with different artistic looks in merchandise.

The cartoon’s visual style is inspired by the 2013 Mickey Mouse shorts, which were created by Paul Rudish for Disney. These shorts were known for their simple, geometric designs and nods to classic Disney animation.

Design and Character Representation

This magnet showcases playful, cartoon-style versions of Woody and Buzz Lightyear. They’re designed with exaggerated features – think rounded bodies and very expressive faces – a style inspired by the work of designer Chris Rudish, who prioritizes simple, recognizable shapes.

The movie uses similar colors to the earlier films. But the visuals aren’t as rich or detailed as those in Pixar’s typical animated features.

Where and When to Pick Up the Magnet

I’m so excited! Disney just announced how we Annual Passholders can get the new Toy Story magnet at Walt Disney World! We can snag it at EPCOT, but only for a limited time during the V.I.Passholder Summer Days event, so I’m definitely making plans to go!

You can get the free magnet between May 1st and July 31st, 2026. It will be available at Creations Shop inside EPCOT park. Annual Passholders can pick it up anytime the park is open.

To get the item, guests need to show a current Walt Disney World Annual Pass and a photo ID. Each passholder can only receive one magnet, and quantities are limited while supplies last.

Upcoming Toy Story Film

A promotional magnet is being released before the next Toy Story movie. Disney and Pixar have announced that Toy Story 5 will be in theaters on June 19, 2026.

The new movie picks up where the last one left off, following Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and Jessie. This time, they face a challenge when Bonnie gets a tablet and starts playing with it instead of them, forcing the toys to compete for her attention.

Tom Hanks and Tim Allen are likely to reprise their famous roles as Woody and Buzz Lightyear. They’ve been connected to the Toy Story series since it began with the first movie in 1995.

Toy Story 5 is the first new sequel since 2019’s Toy Story 4. This latest installment continues the beloved series beyond its original four movies and tackles the challenges kids face today with balancing playtime and screen time.

Conclusion

The Toy Story magnet for annual passholders showcases beloved characters with a unique artistic flair. It’s a great example of how Disney reimagines classic stories with fresh visuals. Plus, this special-edition item is part of Disney’s strategy to connect with fans and create excitement.
