Clash Royale Cannon Evolution Challenge best decks guide
As a seasoned gamer with over a decade of gaming experience under my belt, I must say that Clash Royale has always been one of my go-to games for a quick, strategic battle. The latest addition to the game – the Cannon Evolution – has certainly spiced things up and added a new layer of complexity to the gameplay.
As a dedicated Clash Royale gamer, I’ve got to say, the Card Evolution update has definitely ramped up the difficulty level in this game! It’s not just me who’s finding it tough; my opponents are feeling the heat too. With so many evolutions available, picking the right two can be a real head-scratcher sometimes.
Best Cannon Evolution decks to use in Clash Royale
In the November 2024 Season 65 update, a new weapon known as the Evolved Cannon was unveiled. This weapon has a special ability called Deploy Barrage, which fires nine explosive shells in two rows. These shells can damage and push back both ground and airborne units.
The power doesn’t negatively affect Crown Towers, instead, it extends up to a 2.5-tile distance, effectively targeting groups of enemy troops. Activating every third deployment, Cannon Evolution maintains its stats unchanged. Bearing this in mind, we can construct the optimal decks for gameplay.
1. Cannon, Archer Queen, X-Bow, Fireball, The Log, Fire Spirit, Skeletons, Knight
Average Elixir Cost: 3.1
Known colloquially as the “Queen-Bow setup,” this strategy gains strength with the incorporation of both the “Evolution Cannon” and “Evolution Knight.” The core strategy of this deck revolves around a defensive approach using the “X-Bow,” which is strategically positioned to manage the battlefield and gradually wear down enemy towers.

The Archer Queen operates at a distance, exerting pressure on opponents and eliminating their units. Fireball and The Log are crucial spells for control, while Fire Spirits and Skeletons provide extra defense against large groups of enemies. If played strategically, this deck is very reliable. 2. Cannon, Goblinstein, Goblin Drill, Poison, Bomber, Guards, Ice Spirit, The Log
Average Elixir Cost: 3.0
With the new addition of the card ‘Goblinstein’, often referred to as ‘The Champion’, this deck transforms into a divine defensive powerhouse. ‘The Champion’ serves both as a protective shield and an anti-swarm weapon, with backup from ‘Poison’, ‘Bomber’, and ‘Ice Spirit’ to wipe out swarms and maintain the balance of offensive pushes.

In this scenario, the Cannon functions as our main line of defense, while the modified Goblin Drill (Evolution Goblin Drill) keeps the pressure on the enemy. The Log and Guards are particularly effective at controlling ground swarms and luring the opponent’s attacks. You can duplicate the deck for your own use.
3. Cannon, Musketeer, Fireball, Hog Rider, The Log, Ice Spirit, Skeletons, Ice Golem
Average Elixir Cost: 2.9
The last and concluding set of cards from my side isn’t fresh by any means, but it skillfully employs the most recent advancements. Possessing both Cannon and Musketeer in their evolved state significantly strengthens an already well-balanced deck.

This deck emphasizes swift cycling using Skeletons and Ice Golem, with the latter acting as both a tank and a diversion. The Hog Rider serves as the primary win condition, bolstered by the Ice Spirit for unexpected offensives. Fireball and The Log are used to deal with groups of enemies, clearing a path for the Hog Rider. You can duplicate this deck using the provided link.
Final Thoughts
In essence, although the proposed decks offer a strong base, trying out different mixes might lead to fantastic outcomes too, based on your play style and the opposition. Swapping cards and decks could help discover what suits you best, and utilizing established tactics will surely provide you with an advantage.
