Lucy Black, who starred in Gentleman Jack, will play Deb, and John Thomas, known for Cold Feet, will play Alan. Jack James, recently seen in the ITV drama I Fought the Law, will be playing Jordan.

This new film is the third from acclaimed Cornish director Mark Jenkin, known for his previous movies Bait and Enys Men. It tells the story of a fishing boat, the Rose of Nevada, which unexpectedly returns to a small Cornish harbor thirty years after disappearing.

The Irish Film Classification Office has confirmed that Project Hail Mary is a lengthy film, clocking in at 2 hours and 36 minutes – specifically, 156 minutes and 26 seconds.
