“Excellent” Dublin-set drama The Walsh Sisters finally confirms BBC One and streaming release date

Good news for British fans of the Irish drama The Walsh Sisters! After being shown on RTÉ last year, the show is coming to the UK on February 21st. All episodes will be available on BBC iPlayer from 6am that Sunday, and the first episode will also air on BBC One at 9:15pm. The remaining five episodes will then be shown weekly on BBC One in the same time slot.

I’m really excited about this show! It’s based on Marian Keyes’ books and follows these five sisters – Anna, Rachel, Maggie, Claire, and Helen – as they figure out life in their twenties and thirties. It looks like it’s going to deal with some really relatable stuff, like dealing with breakups, loss, and even addiction. I think a lot of people will connect with their stories.

I’m so excited about this new show, The Walsh Sisters! The cast is incredible – it’s got Louisa Harland, who I loved in Derry Girls, Danielle Galligan from House of Guinness, Mairead Tyers who’s hilarious in Extraordinary, Stefanie Preissner who I really enjoyed in Can’t Cope, Won’t Cope, and Caroline Menton from Oddity. Seriously, what a lineup!
