Well, butter my biscuit and call me confounded-Charles Hoskinson, the grand poobah of Cardano, has gone and ruffled some feathers in a feud with Iagon’s leadership. Seems they’ve crossed what he calls his “red lines,” which, if you ask me, are fewer than a miser’s teeth but just as sharp. The kerfuffle ain’t just about governance or treasury funding-oh no, it’s got more twists than a barrel of eels. In a video that dropped on April 27, 2026, Hoskinson declared this clash was bigger than a barnyard brawl, accusing Iagon of targeting the poor souls in the Midnight community like a pack of hounds after a fox.
“Criticize me or Input Output all you like,” he drawled, “but when you start harassin’ volunteers and community folks tied to Midnight, that’s when I turn from a lamb to a lion.” And let me tell you, when Hoskinson roars, folks take notice.
Hoskinson Says Iagon Leadership Crossed A Line In Cardano Dispute
“I’ve got red lines,” he proclaimed, “and if you step over ’em, I’ll come down on you like a ton of bricks. Accuse me of criminal conduct, and I’ll sic the lawyers on you faster than a hog after slop. Anonymous trolls? Pshaw. But if you’ve got a following, you’d best watch your step.”
He tied one of these lines to the old ADA voucher hullabaloo, where Input Output was accused of wrongdoing before being cleared by an audit. “Dark times,” he called it, “darker than a coal mine at midnight.” The other line? Don’t you dare mess with folks affiliated with his projects. “Ambassadors, volunteers, community members-lay a hand on ’em, and you’ll answer to me,” he warned, “and trust me, you don’t want that.”
The fuss seems to stem from Iagon’s opposition to Input Output’s funding proposals and their shenanigans around Midnight. Hoskinson claimed Iagon’s CEO voted to defund Input Output, then went after Midnight ambassadors like a hawk after a mouse. He also took a swipe at Iagon’s CTO, saying the fellow called Input Output “evil” on account of him. “Voting against funding? Fine,” Hoskinson said, “but when you make it personal, that’s when I draw the line.”
He even hinted that Iagon’s leadership might be fixin’ to jump ship from Cardano, what with their “multi-chain” jabber and all. “No hard feelings toward Iagon token holders,” he said, “but their leadership? Can’t say I trust ’em further than I can throw ’em.”
In response, Hoskinson’s planning to cozy up to other projects like Filecoin and Walrus, and he’s got his eye on Blockfrost too. “More decentralized infrastructure,” he called it, “’cause you can’t put all your eggs in one basket.”
Meanwhile, Cardano’s governance and funding process is under more pressure than a frog in a snake convention. The fiat value of proposals is down to $50 million, compared to $97.5 million last year. “Efficiency improvement,” Hoskinson called it, though he admitted lower ADA prices forced some tough choices.
Despite the ruckus, he’s still bullish on Cardano’s future, pointing to Bitcoin DeFi, Midnight, new venture capital, and ecosystem KPIs. “The Iagon matter’s closed,” he declared, “and if they come knockin’ again, they’ll find the door locked tighter than a drum.”
At press time, ADA was trading at $0.2473. Not bad, not bad at all.
