British thriller “packed with twists” confirms exciting cast including Broadchurch’s Eve Myles

The new British thriller, Wrong Move, has announced its cast. The show explores the challenging world of home buying and questions the idea that a new house can solve life’s problems. It’s promising to be full of unexpected turns.

I’m really excited about this new Channel 4 series! Eve Myles, who I loved in Broadchurch, is playing Catherine, a woman who’s hoping a move to their perfect new house will fix things with her husband, Michael. Rory Kinnear, who was great in The Diplomat, plays Michael, and it sounds like things get stressful for him when some problems start with the house deal… like a chain reaction of issues.

In the show Fargo, David Thewlis portrays Trevor, a deeply unsettling and vengeful character who threatens a group of people trying to buy a home.

Trevor unexpectedly backed out of selling his house, causing problems for everyone involved in the transaction. However, it’s his tendency to manipulate others that truly worries people, according to the description.

David Bradley, known from Game of Thrones, plays the father, Arthur. Austin Haynes, from Adolescence, plays Jack, Catherine and Michael’s son, and his role in the unfolding events turns out to be surprisingly important. Daisy Morgan (Giant) plays their daughter Molly. Meanwhile, Stella and Juliette, played by Eleanor Tomlinson (Poldark) and Gwyneth Keyworth (Death Valley), are a couple expecting their first child and dealing with the fallout from Trevor’s choices.

In the series, Ali Khan and Evie Kaisi star as Asif and Emily, a couple hoping for a new beginning that’s quickly disrupted. Ray Fearon, known from Tinsel Town, plays Emily’s father, Danny.

Paul Bazely (known for Amadeus) will play DS Berry, Laura Elsworthy (Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery) will play DC Jenkins, and Alex MacQueen (Seven Dials) will play estate agent Alistair, completing the main cast.

Production is underway on Wrong Move, a new project from Ben Edwards, who also worked on Miss Scarlet and the Duke.

Channel 4’s new thriller, Wrong Move, is a tense and daring story that explores the stress of buying and selling a home, and the secrets of those involved, according to Gwawr Lloyd, the channel’s interim Head of Drama.

The show brilliantly highlights the potential stress and complications of buying and selling a home, and the emotional ups and downs our characters experience. It’s a clever and enjoyable idea for a series, and we’re thrilled to be collaborating with Ben Edwards and the team at Roughcut.

Wrong Move will air on Channel 4.
