Brawl Stars El Primo Guide – How To Unlock
To unlock El Primo in Brawl Stars, players can:
- Unlock him on Trophy Road when you earn 210 trophies
- Unlock him from a Mega Box (1% chance)
You’ll probably get El Primo by progressing on Trophy Road. However, you might get lucky and open him in a Mega Box earlier. Generally, he’s a pretty simple brawler to unlock.
Brawl Stars El Primo Guide – Attacks, & Stats Per Level
El Primo’s main attack, called Fists of Fury, is a quick, close-up attack that pierces through enemies. He rapidly throws four punches in the direction he’s facing.
Primo’s Super, called Flying Elbow Drop, is a powerful jump attack where Primo slams down on his enemies. It deals significant damage, quickly closes the distance to opponents, pushes them back, and can even break through walls, making it a versatile and effective move.
Furthermore, El Primo Possesses a trait where his super charges every time he receives damage.

Brawl Stars El Primo Guide – Which Star Powers & Gadgets are the best?
Overall, El Primo has two gadgets:
- Suplex Supplement – “El Primo grabs the closest enemy within his reach and flips them like a pancake over his broad shoulders.”
- Asteroid Belt – “El Primo summons a small meteor to strike the nearest enemy. It deals damage and destroys walls.”
Additionally, Primo has two Star Powers:
- El Fuego – “Enemies caught in El Primo’s Super will cause burn damage for a brief period.”
- Meteor Rush – “El Primo gains a speed boost briefly after using his Super.”
Furthermore, Primo can use the following gears in battle:
- Speed
- Vision
- Health
- Shield
- Damage
- Gadget Cooldown
Finally, Primo’s Hypercharge ability, Gravity Leap, not only pulls enemies he hits closer, but also exposes hidden and invisible foes by revealing their positions.
Brawl Stars El Primo Guide – Recommended Star Power, Gadget, & Gear Setup
Both Asteroid Belt and Suplex Supplement are good gadgets, and the best choice depends on how you like to play. Asteroid Belt is particularly useful in Brawl Ball for breaking walls and setting up goals, and it also does significant damage. Suplex Supplement is strong in direct fights and can help you steal the ball from opponents. Overall, we give a slight edge to Asteroid Belt.
Star Powers work the same way. We recommend El Fuego because it significantly boosts El Primo’s Super. The burning effect also stops enemies from healing, making them retreat. While Meteor Rush is okay, El Fuego’s advantages are just too strong to ignore.
When playing as Gears, we suggest the Speed Gear with Primo, particularly on maps with lots of bushes. It helps him chase opponents and quickly build his Super. However, on more open maps, a Shield and Damage Gear are better choices. Primo is already quite durable, but extra health is always useful, and the damage gear can provide a boost when he’s low on health.
Brawl Stars – Which Modes Should You Use El Primo In (And Which Modes You Shouldn’t)
Brawl Ball
Primo excels in Brawl Ball thanks to his jumping, wall-breaking, and ability to both damage opponents and withstand attacks. He works especially well with healers like Poco, who can keep him alive while he builds up his Super. His Super, El Fuego, is great for setting opponents ablaze, creating openings to the goal, and scoring! Other useful gadgets for Brawl Ball include Asteroid Belt and Suplex Supplement.
Duo Showdown
Primo excels at quickly breaking open boxes thanks to his powerful attacks. He also reloads fast and is very mobile. To maximize his effectiveness, team him up with a strong healer or brawler, such as Tara, who can keep enemies close. Plus, Primo’s Super ability lets him quickly move around the map, either to escape danger or chase down opponents.
Brawl Stars El Primo Guide – What Mode(s) Should I NOT Use El Primo In?
Bounty/Knockout/Wipeout
Primo might have trouble in game modes without plenty of obstacles like bushes to hide behind. His short-range attacks are easily countered by long-range brawlers like Mandy and Piper. Plus, many opponents can quickly stun, push back, or prevent him from attacking. For these maps and modes, we usually suggest choosing a different brawler.
Overall, that wraps up our Brawl Stars El Primo Guide!
