Brawl Stars Ash Guide – How To Unlock
To unlock Ash in Brawl Stars, players can:
- Purchase him for 925 Credits (or 169 gems)
- Make sure Ash is your selected Brawler on Starr Road
- Unlock him from a:
- Mythic (10.37%) or Legendary (18.29%) Starr Drop
- Mythic (13.59%), or Legendary (16.3%) Chaos Drop
- Mega Box (0.3% chance)
- *Furthermore, players may also unlock Ash from different, rarer rewards like Sushi Rolls, Presents, or Angelic/Demonic Drops
Brawl Stars Ash Guide – Attacks & Stats Per Level
Let’s talk about Ash’s Rage Bar before diving into his main attack. This bar is special to Ash – it boosts both his attack power and movement speed as it fills up. He fills the bar by either dealing damage to opponents or receiving damage himself. It has three levels, with each level providing a greater boost to damage and speed. Just keep in mind that the bar doesn’t stay full indefinitely; it gradually decreases over time.
Ash’s primary attack, called Clean-Up, is powerful when used at close range and pierces through enemies, though it has a small delay before it connects. While it doesn’t do much damage at the beginning of a fight, by Stage 3, each hit can deal over 3,000 damage. Landing the attack also helps Ash build up their rage meter.
Ash’s Super, called Little Helpers, lets her throw five robotic rats at enemies. These rats automatically chase the closest opponent, but they don’t do much damage and are easily destroyed. It’s particularly effective against opponents who only fire single shots, like Piper, because they can’t quickly eliminate all the rats.

For Gadgets, we suggest using Chill Pill with Ash. It’s much more helpful for keeping him alive, especially after tough fights – a full Rage Bar can be crucial for survival. Rotten Banana isn’t as useful because it actually reduces your health, even if you were already going to fill up the Rage Bar.
When it comes to Star Powers, First Bash is generally stronger. It helps Ash generate Rage faster, which makes him more powerful overall. Mad as Heck does offer a handy reload speed boost, and it’s usable, but we think First Bash is the better choice.
For Gears, we suggest the Damage and Shield set. These gears are a good choice for most brawlers because they increase both your attack power and your defense.
Brawl Stars – Which Modes Should You Use Ash in (And Which Modes You Shouldn’t)
Duo/Trio Showdown
Ash is a strong team player, largely due to his high health and Rage ability. He can quickly break down obstacles and effectively pursue opponents when his Rage is high. Combining him with a supportive healer like Poco or Pam allows Ash to maintain his Rage while also being healed, making him a powerful asset.
Hot Zone
Ash excels in Hot Zone thanks to her high health and Rage ability. She can withstand damage within the zone, generate Rage from that damage, and then use Chill Pill to recover health. Alternatively, she can use her built-up Rage to aggressively pursue opponents while her team secures the zone. Because of these strengths, Ash is a strong pick for Hot Zone.
Brawl Ball
Ash’s excellent health makes him a strong choice in Brawl Ball, but he can’t break walls by himself. Teaming him up with a wall breaker will help him get closer to the goal. Plus, his Mice can completely stop any attack that only shoots one projectile at a time.
Brawl Stars Ash Guide – What Mode(s) Should I NOT Use Ash In?
Bounty/Knockout/Wipeout
Ash’s quick burst of speed helps him get closer to enemies who attack from far away, but it’s still not enough to overcome them. Characters like Piper and Mandy can slow Ash down, while Brock can escape with his gadget, and Tick’s ultimate ability can damage and push Ash back. Basically, Ash struggles in game modes where long-range fighters are strong.
Heist
We’re including this mode because Ash struggles to maintain his most powerful Rage Level 3 consistently. While he can deal some damage, relying on Rage makes it unpredictable when trying to break open the safe. Compared to a character like Tara, who excels at dealing consistent high damage with her Shadow Clones, Ash isn’t the strongest choice for Heist.
