Basic.Space, an online marketplace known for its carefully selected brands, is hosting its first event in the UK this June. It will be held at The Old Selfridges Hotel.
Following successful events in Los Angeles and New York, the platform is bringing a three-day pop-up experience to London. The event will showcase a blend of design, art, fashion, and music, featuring both local London creators and international artists.
Jesse Lee, the founder, shared with TopMob that London is a long-time favorite city of his. He loves how much the city has impacted music and the arts, and appreciates its unique ability to embrace and celebrate unconventional or edgy creativity without demanding it change.

The exhibition will feature UK artists like Samuel Ross, Completedworks, Jabez Bartlett, Jobe Burns (a Loewe Craft Prize finalist), and gallerist Max Radford. London’s Carpenters Workshop Gallery will showcase pieces by Rick Owens, Karl Lagerfeld, Charlotte Perriand, and Jean Prouvé, while Illya Goldman Gubin from Berlin and Marcin Rusak, originally from Warsaw, will also contribute their work.
Lee explained that the exhibition will capture the spirit of London and be designed to fit the unique, industrial-style space of the former Selfridges Hotel. It will be a bold and engaging experience, offering something both new and recognizable. Expect to see top designers, artists, fashion innovators, and sound creators working alongside the classic atmosphere of a fair or shopping event.
Besides showcasing traditional design, Telepathic Instruments – a music tech company created with Kevin Parker of Tame Impala – will be launching a see-through, limited-edition version of their synthesizer, which works using chords, at the event.
Basic.Space, which purchased the online art marketplace PLATFORM: in 2025, will host an exhibition featuring works from London galleries Nicoletti and Albion Jeune.
You can now purchase tickets on the Basic.Space website. The event will be open from 11am to 7pm each day.
