Azealia Banks backtracks on supporting Donald Trump over Elon Musk and says she's now voting for Kamala Harris

As an ardent follower of Azealia Banks’ unique perspective and unapologetic voice, I find myself both amused and intrigued by her political allegiances. Her life experiences have undoubtedly shaped her views, and it’s fascinating to see how they intertwine with the political landscape.

Azealia Banks has announced her intention to cast her vote for the Democratic candidate, Kamala Harris, during next week’s U.S. presidential election. Previously, she had stated that she would be voting for Republican Donald Trump.

On Twitter on Monday, the 33-year-old music artist highlighted Trump’s partnership with tech magnate Elon Musk as a significant influence behind her change in voting preference, expressing this in a series of detailed tweets.

In simpler terms, the New Yorker stated that it’s essential to prevent Elon Musk from having political power in the USA because he primarily seems self-centered and unconcerned about others.

Banks expressed her opinion that Musk has received an excessive amount of funds from taxpayers and considers it extremely risky for him to hold any political power.

She took a number of shots at Musk’s ethics and business tactics, adding that ‘one does not become the richest man in the world because of honesty and good character.’

Banks were far from praising Harris. They labeled her as “unintelligent” and “incomprehensible,” while they referred to her running mate, Tim Walz, as “subpar.

Banks acknowledged her hesitation but agreed with Harris, even though she’s the sole Democratic nominee who hasn’t actively campaigned during the primaries.

Banks characterized Harris’s journey towards the Democratic presidential nomination as “unprecedentedly undemocratic” and implied that it speaks volumes about the lack of common sense among her supporters.

In previous statements, this individual expressed her distaste for Elon Musk. Yet, she referred to him in her final remarks, stating that she will be casting her vote for Kamala Harris the next day, implying that Musk should steer clear of American politics.

In November of 2023, banks expressed her intention to cast her vote for Trump, sharing with The Standard that she felt significantly more secure in an environment where it is common for people to carry firearms.

On Monday, the bank criticized Trump for his ties to Robert F. Kennedy Jr., whom she referred to as a “zombie-like character.” She further stated that the idea of him holding a position like ‘Health Minister’ was both offensive and foolishly absurd.

Banks implied that Trump had overstepped with China, suggesting that America won’t transform into the self-sufficient manufacturing giant Trump envisions. Furthermore, they suggested that Trump’s goals regarding immigration were unrealistic and based on delusions.

As an ardent admirer, I find myself compelled to articulate a perspective that echoes her words: Standing on the brink of two formidable conflicts, with four nuclear nations – the USA, Iran, Israel, and Russia – entangled, it’s striking to consider the everyday citizen’s readiness for battle. The American populace, unfortunately, seems to be preoccupied by health issues, distractions, or perhaps personal transformations, which might hinder our ability to wage war and ultimately emerge victorious.

Banks advised Harris to ‘actually pay attention and get caught up to speed’ when elected.

“She advised, ‘Don’t let up, sis,’ instead.

She stated, ‘Additionally, I kindly request that in 2028, you collaborate with genuine Black female intellects for your campaign. The endorsements from Megan Thee Stallion and Cardi B were not effective. Please avoid such embarrassing situations in the future, my dear niece. May the Force be with You.’
